When should I get him neutered? Can I wait until he is 10 months old or should I do it before...I really can't afford it right now but I could make it work if he will be pissing all over my house.

I adopted a cat about 6-7months ago, and he came from a home of 12 cats. Should I get another cat for him so he has a playmate, or just let him be as the only cat of the household?

They are about 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" long and hard to the touch. She has also lately developed some redness of the two nipples where the growths are and has started licking that area.
She doesn't seem to be in any discomfort.
Any ideas as to what this may be?

My cat (six months old), is the most un-affectionate cat I have ever had, he is not interested on sitting on my lap or paying any attention to me or my flatmates unless he wants to be fed or play with his toys, he bites if you try to pick him up or stroke him and grows ten thousand extra legs if you ever wanna give him a cuddle. That is except for the middle of the night when he climbs into the bed with us and purrs and rolls around and bunts and cuddles up and rolls on his back, he loves his tummy being tickled and being scratched behind the ears - then the sun comes up and he turns to his miserable self again??? it's like Jekyll and Hyde! What is with him??

I have 2 perisan kittens, one 4 months and one 5 months. The problem is neither of them will wash. Anytime I source what the problem may be on the internet I just get information about depressed cats which they are not. They just seem to be lazy!! I have had to resort to bathing them as they were just so filthy!

If you anyone has any suggestions I would be so very grateful.

thanks so much

I let the cat eat the tinsel off the christmas tree, that's what cats do. My husband is worried that she will get sick or die from eating tinsel all the time. What do you think?

By out there, I mean both throughout the world as well as on Yahoo answers.

And why are there so many of them asking/answering questions in the Cats section of Yahoo? There are nowhere near as many sick questions and answers in the other Pet categories. What is it about cats that seems to bring out the psycho in so many people?

I love cats and have always had them in my life and always will. If people don't like cats why can't they just ignore them? I do understand that some people get annoyed by other people's cats doing their business in their gardens - but there are plenty of safe, effective and above all HUMANE ways of deterring them.

I always vote down the sicko questions and answers and report them for abuse but I still feel impotent and fervently wish I could do more. Anyone any ideas? (I have reported one "person" to the RSPCA in the fervent hope that he can be traced - see my recent answer). But beyond that?

Answers from cat-lovers only, please.

My 7 month old kitten went in to be spayed and they did a fasting pre op blood test which showed her glucose was high and that her electrolytes were abnormal. They said that this could be down to the sedation they used as she was too stressed out when they tried to take the blood so i have dropped off a urine sample to them today. Any ideas what maybe wrong with her?

A few months ago, one of my cats urinated in a piece of carry-on luggage. Now that I need it, I want to know if there are any tricks I can use to get that smell out! Should I take it to the dry cleaners? Are there any great products I can use? Home remedies? Would steam cleaning work? I'm at a loss of what to do.

He's been sick since this morning, he started off fine but later on he didn't eat anymore and he's been pretty laid back. I think he may have eaten somethign he shouldn't have. He hasn't been playful all day and now that he's gotten rid of all the food in his stomach he's puking up a white liquid. He's acting semi-normal again right now, attacking my other cat but I'm still worried. I don't know what to do if I have to bring him to a vet, I can't afford to pay for surgery or whatever is needed. Any help would be appreciated.

I've told this story b4 about the stray kittens under neighbors porch. I'm afraid they r gonna freeze. They r wild and won't come near u. How can we catch them? The s.p.c.a. don't have any available traps until 3wks. They will freeze by then they are only 3 mths old at the most. I put food out for them everyday. We put a cage down w/food in it and snuck up behind it to close the door and they r so fast, u can't catch them. They sense when ur even near them. How else can we catch the lil sneaky buggers?

I have an 8 month old kitten and a 2 year old cat, they get along great and love eachother. But when I feed them, the 8 month old will push the other out of the way and wont let her eat. It doesnt matter when the other one goes to eat, or if i put seperate dishes out. Whenever the 2 yr old goes by the food dish, the little one runs in front of her and will put her head in the dish. I don't know how to stop it I have tried a number of things (squirt gun, loud noises, seperate dishes) I am wondering why she does this and how I can get her to stop, my older cat is losing weight! Thanks!
