She is bitting off peices of a poinsetta (christmas flower) but is putting the peices on the table.It has a milky substance leaking where she bit it.

Hi there...Poinsettias are poisonous. It is the alkaloids in the leaf tissue can cause irritation to the mucus membranes of the mouth and throat which is very toxic. The white stuff is the toxins: http://cats.about.com/cs/catmanagement101/a/poisonplants.htm

Poinsettia is mildly poisonous to cats. "Low toxicity." I'd say this means don't worry unless the cat eats a large amount and acts sick.

Poinsetta is poisonious to a cat...if she eats it take her to the vet and put it up where she cannot touch it.

ITS POISON,your cat may throw up ,have diarrhea,or drool alot get rid of the plant also mistletoe,pine lilies read up on plants and cats

Yes, it can hurt your cat. Poinsettias are poison, its take those plants away ASAP.

yes don't let her eat it.It's poisonous for cat keep it where she can't reach it if you really want to have one at Christmas time.

They are not poisonous, but any plant can mkae her ill.
The white stuff can be stopped from " bleeding" out by taking a lighter or match to it quickly.

duh, put the poinsettia out of her reach. Also if you have tinsel in the house NEVER put it where your cat can get it. Both of these things will cause death in your kitty.
