Hello there, I have a cat who is seven years old. She appears to be in over all great health. Recently I have noticed that she keeps itching on her chin. She now has scratched some of the hair away and has broken the skin. There seems to a few little white dots, like pimples on the exposed skin. What can I do for her, she doesn't seem to act like this is hurting her, but I would like to find out the reason & correct the problem. Any suggestions or advice for what I can do, or what is causing this?

I have a cat (3 year old female tortoise shell) that can come and go as she pleases (inside/outside). I live in the Midwest and we have just gotten our first big snowfall. She's been staying in the house sleeping all day now and getting up about 2 hours before the rest of the household in the mornings. She terrorizes everybody in the house. Wakes up the dogs (she does drive-by's where she runs past the dogs and swats at them), she wakes up my other cat, claws my sofa, runs throughout the house I have all wood floors so she slides around corners...she wakes up my son by running into his room, jumping on his bed and then launching herself into the leather chair and back out into the hallway, and she pulls on the shower curtain.

This is normally the time of morning that she would be outside hunting. What can I do with her to help her out during the winter months? I've had her for 3 years now, but she has never been this bad in the winter. Any ideas?

My cat broke some glass tree decorations. I cleaned them up as soon as I saw them, but she broke another while I was cleaning and she acted like she was going to eat it. Should I be looking for any specific signs that might indicate she has glass in her belly? I'm scared now. I'm also scared she got the glass in her paws. I took the whole tree down and cleaned the area really well. Any suggestions?

I adopted this cat from a shelter. I was assured he was litter trained. He is a 3yr old tabby. I have another 3yr old tabby male and a 1 1/2 yr old tabby girl. I have had both of them their whole lives. The new cat is attacking my cats very viciously. My 3 yr old has some bald spots that Im sure came from the new cat. I was told this new cat was a stray and they werent sure quite how long. The kicker is he SH*T every where last night. In the tub, on the white carpet, in some shoes, on the couch and bed. I have 2 litter boxes. One on the 1st floor and one in the basement. I think he's a doll to me but that is about it. I honestly think he needs to be in a house with no other pets. Any advice

I remember seeing these cats on Good Morning America a couple years ago that appeared to be about the size of a small to medium dog (approx 15-18" at the shoulder). They had dog-like attitudes, were absolutely huge, and still looked, both color and proportions, like a common house cat. Close to 30-40 lb cats. Can anyone help me with this?? They said they were a fairly new breed to the U.S. at the time and kittens ran $1500-2000. Does anyone know what this breed is??

You only have to sniff and she jumps. Sometimes when i am walking towards her to get to the kitchen she has a look of fear like i have a gun in my hand and runs like lightning out the room. She petrified of everything and it annoys me now becasue as soon a s you call her to sit with you she jumps up to your lap straight away. She loves attention but has a split personality, you can be stroking her one minute and a second later she screams at you to get away and runs off. She's silly, i wish she would just chill out and stop being scared of things that arent scary, like me breathing or the floorboards.

Will he stop spraying once done? He is already territorial and wild, but will he at least calm down a little? Will the procedure make him stop being playful or forget his little tricks? Is it true that neutered cats live longer- is there really proof of this?
Please answer all questions only if you are sure of answers.
Thanks!

I have a 6 month old kitten, and because she's going in to get spayed this month, I'd like to get her something nice for Christmas. What's a gift that a cat will really enjoy?

i got my first rescue cat barney 1 week ago and felt guilty about taking him away from his brother fred so i went to pick him up yesterday.
they are both shy 7 moth old tabbys but barney is getting braver by the day.
as far as i know fred hasn't eaten yet other than a dried fish treat this morning. he was then sick.
a few hours later Barney had diarrehea which had some blood on it and then was sick.
both the seem ok. barney was scraching his post and running about quite soon after being sick.

i've called the vet and they have told me to remove all food and just leave water for 24 hours which i have and will do done.
i am just in panic, other that the fish thing i can't think of anything they both could have eaten to make them poorly.
they are both very nervous moggies and i am giving them their space i just don't want anything i am doing making them worse!

i am new to cats and a bit of a worrier!
Any advice, tips, hints???

my cat has really long hair, and in the winter it gets static-y and he shocks me and himself. Last year I used a dryer sheet on him, but I worry that the chemicals in it could harm him, since he's going to lick himself and ingest whatever's in the dryer sheet.

Any suggestions?

A friend of mine has a very rare cat apparently....
Its as big as a maincombe with long full white hair, pink eyes and pink nose. Very docile and gorgeous to look at.
What breed could it be? Chinchillas seem to be close but they don't have pink eyes.

There's this stray cat that hangs around our home. It's cute and loving but we're a bit paranoid about the possibility that someday it could have rabies and scratch/bite one of us. I would gladly pay to have rabies shots for this cat but we do not want to bring it in our house and become its owners. Things are great the way they are. I'm wondering whether there are laws that prevent me from getting this cat rabies shots if I don't register it. If so isn't that a bit odd? I live in NC. Thank you.

Our indoor cat has started scratching up our furniture and my husband wants to get her declawed. My friend said that this sometimes changes their personality and I don't want a mean cat! Is this true and do you know any other drawbacks to getting her declawed? She rarely goes outside and we don't have any other pets.
