I have a cat that does that once in a while. You are
her 'other' kitten. She is grooming you. Cats usually choose just one person they want as there
main people. You are that person. Molly will be closest to you. If you do not care for her grooming
then just move her away from you and cuddle her in
a different way. Licking is a way the cats show their love for some one.

Our cat does the same thing to my wife. Whenever we sit down she always sits on my wife. Never me or my daughter. Some cats just feel more comfortable with the woman in the household.
Before this cat we had another and he did exactly the same thing to my wife. She could'nt sit down for a minute before the cat was up with her

It might have something to do with the taste of our salty skin. Cats love the smell of humans - I am sure a lot of readers out there have found their cats in the dirty wash basket, or rubbing themselves with it. As soon as she does it calmly put her on the ground and say 'No!' She will soon get the point. I would suggest ducking out to your nearest pet store and finding some 'Cat Nip' which is a type of herb that is stuffed in some cat toys that drives cats mad with happiness.

Well I live alone and my 11 year old male cat named Boots he does licks my face and rubs his head w/my head. he generally licks my chin and nose. But I read in a cat care book when they rub your face w/their face it's a sign of trust and they consider you a part of their family and also they are marking their territory when they rub you with their face. I don't mind it but if it bothers you well I'd let her do it for a minute then push her away gently.

She's bonded to you. There's no problem.

She may have an inferiority complex. You said you have another cat, maybe she's afraid it will take away your affection?

It's okay to keep putting her elsewhere when she jumps on you, just not all the time. She still needs to know she is loved.

That's something cats do with owners they love. You shouldn't have to be disgusted. Of course that's a very personal thing.

snagelfritz is right....it's a combo of wanting salt & giving you a bath at the same time! Try washing your face immediately before bed to get rid of any salt on the surface...hopefully that will help.

She may be after salt. Many animals like to lick people to get salt.
AND, true it may be affection, she just giving you a bath.
