Oh dear, I'm sure of she had glass in her belly the signs would be very obvious and if she had them in her paws she would be limping. If you are looking for reassurance take her to the vet and If you want to put your Christmas tree back up but are worried about the cat messing about with it just spray the tree with lemon juice, cats are not fond of lemon juice and will teach them not to put it in their mouth or touch it with their paws. Good luck!

The only thing the vet can do is tell you to watch her and when she has a bowel movement check to see if you see blood in it. If there is then there is more then likely chance she ate some of the glass. The only option at that point will be to remove it by surgery. The glass in the paws is a much easier and cheaper problem. check her pads to see if they have glass in them. if you don't see any glass or blood you are pretty safe.

I would call the vet as soon as possible. Tell them what happened and ask them what you can do. in the mean time. pull some of the glass ordements off the tree that are easily breakable. or move them higher up on the tree. also you can squirt the cat with water if you see him/her climbing up the tree. eventually the cat will realise that everytime he/she plays with the tree he/she gets sprayed with water and the cat should stop. if the cat startes showing signs of good behavor give the cat a treat. good luck and I hope your cat is alright.

It's doubtful she ate any glass. Is she limping or anything like she glass in her feet? If she starts acting strange, a visit with the vet or at least a call would be wise. Good luck.

My roommate in college (I am muslim and she was christian) had a puppy that loved the silver icicle strings you put on trees.. She used to eat it while we were away..
We would come home from work and the bottom half of the tree was bald... We knew she ate it cause she would throw up silver strings... She had an episode when for some reason she started sneezing and wouldnt quit for 24hours.. We took her to the vet and found out, she somehow sniffed one of those strings down her nose. The vet pulled it out slowly.. .. Xmas trees and pets dont mix...

Your cat might have stepped in the broken glass, but it's doubtful that there is a cat stupid enough to EAT glass!! Only humans are stupid enough for this, right?

take her to the vet right away. my neighbor had the same problem and the cat didn't show any signs so she thought she was fine. When she woke up the next day, the cat was dead on her bed. Do it now and fast!!!

Glass can destroy a cat's intestines. Surgery can be very expensive to remove it. Take your cat to the vet immediately.

I know how you feel, I am always scared when my cat breaks something. It's better to take her to the vet and get an X ray, to be sure.
