My 7 month old kitten went in to be spayed and they did a fasting pre op blood test which showed her glucose was high and that her electrolytes were abnormal. They said that this could be down to the sedation they used as she was too stressed out when they tried to take the blood so i have dropped off a urine sample to them today. Any ideas what maybe wrong with her?

Both answers appear to be right, however you are left with a little tiny might (kitten) who does not like the vets and needs to be spayed. Does your kitten have faith in you. could she trust you when threatened ?
Try and find out from your existing vet if there is another vet who would be prepared to spay your kitten. See if the new vet would have the concern and time to just play with the kitten for one appointment session. Tickle its cheek win the kittens confidence.
I hope the little kitten calms down and gets to purr at the vets. What does she like to eat, could this be used in some enticement to visit the vet ? Good luck.

The kitten could have just been stressed, if the urine sample turns out normal then you've got nothing to worry about.

Although high glucose could be your kitten is diabetic.

Nothing. Just stress! Stress raises the glucose level and if she was that stressed, that would do it!!
