When should I get him neutered? Can I wait until he is 10 months old or should I do it before...I really can't afford it right now but I could make it work if he will be pissing all over my house.

really a male kitten should be neutered at around 6-8 months but you can wait till he is 10 months just make sure the litter pan is clean all the time and that there is no other cats(male or female) around to give him a reason to mark his territory. good luck and as soon as you have the money take him in. also look into the neuter scooter in your area. call your local shelter and ask if there are any in your area and how you go about getting your kitty in the program. usually costs are almost half of what they would be at the vets office. good luck.

They need to be Neutered at around 5 months [You need to wait until he is atleast 5 months and then try to have it done as soon as posible, some cats 6 months is too long], but you should be able to set up a payment plan with a Vet if they are normal.

Male cats can start spraying at any time if they were exposed to it (even 1 month). However in the early cases it's likely not the consistancy of Spray. It's just urin. Each cat is a little different so it's posible for a cat to be able to spray before 5 months (it's just like Human Adolesenses). But males Usually are after 5 Months. The problem you will face if you wait may be he will START SPRAYING and then NOT STOP after being fixed (although that is again a Urin verse normal Spray thing).

So I suggest you start looking for Vets that allow Payment Plans or checking out Animal Organizations that may help you pay or do it for free/less.

well I'd advise you to get him neutered before then I waited till my cat was 8 months old to get him neutered but he only sprayed in his litter box and one way I cut down on the mess was to buy a cat litter box w/a lid on it and it cut down on quite a bit of the mess and sometimes my cat has a chronic bladder infection he sprays in other areas of my apt but he hasen't done it for nearly 2 years my vet says every even year and he's about due to start having one now. Go to petsmart to get one they are more money than a litter box w/no lid but if your cat starts spraying are worth the extra money.

If the kitten is neutered with the aid of four months previous, its very not likely to spray later at the same time as its grown up. yet when your dad and mom are "sparkling freaks" - they likely received't desire a kitten contained in the living house seeing that they have a tendency to get into issues at the same time as turning out to be up. i don't believe of its a sensible determination at this element in time.

DO IT ASAP!!!
If he sprays once, even after you get him fixed he will still do it. Once he figures out how to spray, then your in trouble.
A small investment is worth the ton of clothes, furniture and carpet.
If you can't afford the vet, then maybe the Humane Soceity or SPCA will do it for cheaper if they know your situation. (lack of funds)

Good luck and I hope this advice helps.
