My cat has done this. Try to keep the food away for a little bit so that his stomach can rest even if he has stopped vomitting. Just give him clear liquids, water. If he continues vomiting, take him to the vet. Chances are, they will listen to his digestive system, maybe check his blood, check his vitals and temp, and maybe give him fluids if he is dehydrated. Just keep an eye on him. Is his nose cold and wet? That is usally a good sign if it is. Playing can also be a good sign.
I would also clean his litter box and check to see what has come out. Check again later to make sure that liquids and/or food are still going through him.
Take care!

Sounds like your kitten ate something that didn't agree with him. Get some grass from outside and give it to him, this will help alleviate the upset tummy. If he doesn't stop vomiting or gets worse in the morning, call the vet and tell them what is going on, they'll want to see him and chances are if you tell them about not being able to afford to pay right away, they can work out a payment arrangment for you, if they are a good vet. Otherwise just give your kitty fresh grass and let nature take it's course, by tommorrow the upset tummy should be gone, if it isn't serious. Best wishes.

I strongly urge you to see a vet if this has been going on more than 48 hours. Kittens get dehydrated very fast. There are several reasons for a cat to vomit which include parasites (several varieties of worms). You didn't say what you feed the little critter, but a kitten should be eating KITTEN food not adult, most cats are lactose intolerant and this will cause vomiting, diarrhea (there are kitten milk replacements available in most supermarkets these days), many houseplants are poisonous. All cats should be inoculated against FIP & FLV. Fforeign body ingestion, hyperthyroidism, liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and cancer, as less typical causes for vomiting.
Any way you slice it, your kittens needs to see the vet..
Good luck with your precious little one.. Callie

Ok, it sounds like your kitten has food poisoning, it could have been cause by it eating/drinking, or licking, a chemical substance such as poudered comet cleaner, rat poison, raid, or something such as. Most likely you should take it to the vet, try to get it to drink water, and you may want to check its gums, it may not have been poisoned and could have extremely low blood sugar caused by fleas or a blood disorder. Its gums would be extremly pale. Instead of pink, they would be light to the point of which they almost look white. If its gums are real white like that, give it some Karo corn syrup, or some Molasas. What ever you do, get it to drink water. If it wont drink on its own, use a baby medicine dropper.

Check your houseplants (if you have any) for any signs of them being chewed on. And deffinately get him some grass to eat--there's vitamins and other stuff they need that they get from eating grass. However most houseplants and flowers will cause upset stomaches and certian types will poison them. If you recently changed their food that can cause it also. It seems that younger cats, and especially kittens are more prone to this than the older cats. Also it might not hurt to get all your cats dewormed--one of mine had worms and it was only noticable when she upchucked everything she just ate. It's a good sign that he's playing, but keep an eye on him.

Keep him away from the other cat it could spread whatever it is. Keep him in a secure quiet area offer water but no food for now until he is more alert. If he is not better within by tomorrow ,you need to bring him in ...there are often low cost vets or payment plans avail check it out first with a quick call ...good luck !!
Ps it could be his first hairball the first ball is always the hardest ..seriously

give him plenty of water, if he won't drink on his own you NEED to put some in his mouth. If he is still heaving, he needs something to throw up. If he is acting better and starts eating and keeps it down he should be fine. if he stays the same or gets worse then you have no choice but to take him to the vet. I don't think surgery is required, just keep a close eye on him. good luck!

without any treatment this is very serious for your cat. Vomiting is causing dehydration and cat's health fail quickly without medical attention. Some vets will accept payment plans, but you have to ask. I'm afraid to admit but your cat needs to see a vet tonight. If it's poison that was ingested this requires immediate action. I don't know how to state this any kinder. Hope you understand.

It does sounds as if he ate something that he shouldn't have. Watch him and see if he continues to recover. If he keeps puking and doesn't start acting normal (or seems to be feeling worse) by tomorrow, take him to the vet.

You might have to get rid of some of your houseplants. Do you have any poinsettias, by any chance?
here are some Websites that talk about which plants are poisonous to cats.
