We use Purina Pro Plan. It is reasonably priced, and has good dietary nutrients. The higher quality cat food you get, the less waste the cats eliminate and the less it smells when they do. Cheaper cat food is more filler than good ingredients.
We give Friskies wet food, 1/4 can in the AM and 1/4 can in the PM to each cat, and a healthy serving of dry food in AM and PM as well.
Some will say Iams is the best, but our cats don't like it. Try the more expensive brands(i.e. not Whiskas or Friskies, or Meow Mix, etc) and see which one your cat likes the best from those.

People! any diet bought from ur vet clinic is the best!...those foods bought from grocery stores or stores like wal-mart are not good quality foods, their very fattening. I just finished a course on pet nutrition and know whats in bad foods such as friskies. I like Medi-Cal the best. Its amazing. You may think the vet foods are too expensive. But really you would be saving money. When you feed ur pet whiskas or even iams...iams is probably the one with the most fat, he will need to eat more of it because he isnt getting the rite amount of nutrients. If you feed them a high quality diet from the vet, they won't eat as much because its not full of fat, and has the perfect amount of fiber.

Iams
Whiskas
Sience Diet
Purina
Spa Select
I suggest them all you might want get a small bag & let your cat try each different food. I let my cat choose & he chose Spa Select. It is not a very popular food but my cats love it!
Good Luck!!!
