I don't want to give her something common like midnight or shadow. This is what i've come up with so far:
Noir- 'black' in french
Luna
Hazel
Onyx
Lana-attractive
Layla- dark beauty
Phoebe
Salem
Ivy
Venus
Zoe

Can you think of any other good names? or which do you like most from the above.

You can see a picture of her on my 360 page.

Oh, she's very slim & pretty with gorgeous eyes, a bewitching beauty.

In your list I quite like Layla.

I also like the names Raven & Treacle for black cats.

I've just been looking around on this site:

Loads of wonderful, unusual names with meanings - I'd recommend having a look, there might be something there that you feel suits your girl to a t.

The one I'd pick if I had your lovely black feline is
Feronia
- the Roman Goddess of Spring Flowers

PS in the UK Black Cats are considered Lucky (not bad at all)

How about "Obsidian"? It's a shiny volcanic glass that is used to make jewellry and early people used to make arrow heads, knives, and spear points out of it. Or if you want to be really unique, how about mixing? For example: Luna Noir
But really a cat's name should flow with energy the way a cat moves and should roll gracefully off the tounge.

Cats seem to like names that end in a eee sound. At least that is what is seems to evolve to in our house. They start out is a regal sounding name and then it becomes whatever eee. So be careful when choosing the name. You wouldn't want to end up insulting the cat. LOL

* Blacky.
* Shiny
* Slick

To be honest your cat does not care what name you choose.
Pick a name that makes the most sense to you,
and is easy to pronounce for all family members.
