My cat does the same thing and has done so since I got her two years ago. It doesn't matter if she has lots of food in her dish if she can get near the bag she likes to knaw on it. I wouldn't worry about it.
Also depending on the age of your kitten she may be teething, so she's likely to go around biting on all kinds of strange things.

Kittens take much more naturally and are more satisfied with canned food than dry. Max kitten food is good - not the greatest and still better than dry food. She will be more satisfied on this diet and not cry as much. Depending on age kittens should have small meat meals around four times a day. One can and some dry food should be enough for her.
When you open a can of cat food always put any remainder in a glass dish (pyrex small custard cups) to store for future meals. If you open a can in the morning you do not need to refrigerate it if it is used up that day. If you do refrigerate food you need to warm it to room temperature in a hot water bath before she eats it. Cold food can cause stomach upset for some cats and kittens.

Did you give your kitten food? I remember my cat (when it was a kitten) used to eat alot and they do meow and ruub against the food bag and everything becuz they're hungry so give it food. They also get really thirsty so give it water too.

She's probably hungry! Open the bag and try feeding her :) And she could just be exploring her new home, too.

she's either hungry or in heat. if she's meowing loudly and rolling around and stuff, she's in heat. most likely she's just hungry, though. so FEED HER! lol.
