Like I said, he wants to help you get dried off. Then, you smell like soap. There is none of his smell left on you when you get out of the shower and he has to make you smell like your are his human again. He loves you. No doubt about it.

I have a couple of cats that will do that to. If I close the bathroom door while I shower, there is much weeping and wailing on the other side of the door.

I didn't misunderstand at all. Read the other answer I gave you again.

There's a chance that he doesn't like the soap you're using but if that were the case, he'd probably run away not trying rubbing you or licking you. Sounds like he's just playing. My cat used to do the same thing when he was younger but he's a shedder so I had to start shutting him out of the bathroom. Habit broke shortly after.

Your cat is normal, cats are known to lick and nibble things because they like the scent, wierd is when your taking a shower or bath and the cats jumps in to bathe with you.

It sounds like your cat is very affectionate and wants to help groom you. I have a cat like that. While we're petting him, he will nip our chin or nose or fingers. When cats are close they groom each other. He probably thinks if you groom (pet) him he should groom you in return. My cat does this any time we pet him, but as he's mostly an outside cat he doesn't wait outside the shower for us. Now I would worry if your cat tried to join you in the shower. I have a couple of mostly indoor cats who wait outside of whatever room I happen to be in and will try to get in if possible. They saw me cleaning the shower one day and seemed to get great enjoyment in that but showed no interest in getting too close.

There was a time when my cat tried to follow me into the shower but then she realized there was water falling and had to stop. She would then wait outside the shower and cry and try to stick her head in. I thought it was hysterical too.

Maybe he just likes the taste of the water... My cat will drink out of the faucet in the sink or bathroom if I turn it on just to a little dribble for her. He's just thirsty and decided to get the quench from his best pal.

He may like the taste of the soap or lotion you use. Also, he may just be doing it out of habit now.

I think there are lots of single women cat lovers, especially if they are over 35 like moi.
