Tiger needed surgery and he's the father of my other 2 kittys *3 months old* know the youngest kitty walks around the house smelling everything then goes to my bedroom where tiger would lie down and he justs sits there and crys then looks around and crys some more. Is it that he misses his dad or should I be worried?

I would say he misses the older cat/father. Animals know what loss is just as much as us.

It does sound like he misses his dad. Cats who live in peace with a group of cats miss each other when one is away for a while. Don't be surprizes if Tiger hisses at the other cats on return. When cats have had surgery, they feel unsafe until the medicine used to put them to sleep wears off completely, so it might be a good idea to keep him separate until he's feeling better. As for the lonely kitty, just pet him a little more to assure him he's not alone and tell him Tiger is coming home soon. He may not be able to understand what you say, but he will understand the tone of your voice.

Yes, they miss Tiger. Do yourself a favor. Cats go by smell. When you go to pick up Tiger from the vets, take a towel or blanket from home for him to snuggle in on the way back. That way, he will smell like the same old Tiger. There are other cats and smells in those vet offices that can be very confusing for the young ones waiting at home.

Had someone on here just last night who had a cat in surgery for two days. When he brought him home, the other cats didn't recognize him and he ran into all sorts of problems. Cats don't go by sight, they go by smell. All will be fine when the missing family member comes home.

He probably just misses his dad... and that is normal, because cats can become very sensitive about their surroundings after a while, so when you take something away, the cat can tend to miss the thing.

Don't worry too much. The kitten is just crying because he wants his dad. If they have never been seperated before, you might want to check for any anxiety and try to keep him company when you can while his dad is away.
Good Luck!
