I have 3 roborovski hamsters from a pet shop that said they were all females and i woke up to find three pups in the cage and the mother was putting them into the nest.We had the adults sexed to find that i had 2 males and 1 female. We had the males seperated from the female but for quite a while she hasnt come out to eat or drink.I cant go look in the nest because i'm not allowed to disturb them. The babies are only about three days old now and the mother hasnt come out for 1 and a half days. Its probably nothing to worry about but if it is can i have some advice plz.

none of the local feed and tractor stores with in 4 hours from my home have ducklings. i really want just 2 or 3 and the big reliable farms like metzer farms only ship ten or more ducks. So, do you know any reliable breeders that will ship 2 or 3 ducklings???

When watching tv, it is a constant battle with my Cockatail and my mug of tea. He would be on my shoulder and creeps down to my mug while I am sipping and insists on drinking some. I use milk and sugar. Is this bad for him??

She will stand at her water dish, lean over, and dip the feathers on the right side of her neck in the water. It's so strange. She's almost three and is a Senegal parrot, if that helps at all.

i have read up on many many many breeds of ducks... but all the information blends...all the breeders email me that this duck or that duck is the best because they have had it and its nice. please, try to actually follow my guidelines and help me pick out a duck based on more than what the books say....

GUIDELINES

-it must not be a bantam duck because the size is not beneficial to my lifestyle.
-i am raising the D U C K S for no commercial reasons
-i am not planning on showing my duck
-the duck must not be aggressive because of children in the family, (14, 14, 8) <-- the eight year old would not participate as much as the other girls and parents.

i have put thought into this and have read hundreds of pages on ducks.

i know many of the breeds, cambell (sp), call, pekin, mallard, rouen, welsh harlequin...etc.. please tell me WHY.

I had a canary egg hatch today and the mother has not feed it all day. Does the new baby need to eat the first day? If she does not feed the baby do I need to hand feed it before bedtime?
