cockatoos are not sexually dimorphic as far as I know. The surrest way is to take him/her to a vet to know for certain.

Lots of the time you can tell by the eyes; in females, the iris is lighter than the pupil, so you can see it fairly easily. In males, it is almost as dark as the pupil, making the whole eye appear black.
You can sometimes tell by behaviour. If your 'too 'pants', or 'huffs' when you snuggle it, it is most assuredly a female.
DNA sexing is the surest and easiest way to tell. Search HealthGene. That's the sompany I use to DNA sex my birds.

Apparently, the only parrot that can have its sex determined by colour is the Eclectus. All other parrots have to be sexed surgically or by DNA blood test.
