At what time, and date is it best to candle my cockatiel's eggs? The first egg was born on the 10th, last egg was born on the 16th. (She had three) At what date would be best to candel them, for best results?

In the past my two have had a hard time fertalizing their eggs. Only 1 clutch hatch and sadly both babies died due to inexperienced parents.

My keet lays eggs all of the time but she never incubates them, or pay them any attention. Even when she was in the cage with my male, her eggs were still duds!!

my vet says he is vitamin A deficient. I have fed him vitamins and a different kind of food. It is working but so slowly. Is there anything more I can do to help him get his feathers back?

i have just had an a aviary built in my garden with the intention of getting cockateils, as i already have 1 of these that lives in the house (hes not going in the aviary), but is it true that kept in aviary's they are VERY noisy? if so what would be the best birds to keep.

I think my 6 month old parakeet is molting. I've noticed she has a few blood feathers. She's already lost quite a few little feathers and at least 3 blood feathers that I know of. She has started scratching herself a lot and has been very irritable. Is there anything I can do to help her? She looks so unhappy. Also, how long will this whole process take? I've done tons of research on the internet and haven't found much info I thought was useful. I've noticed that when she has pulled out a blood feather, she'll chew on it and leave only the end. Why is this? Is it normal?

I know that a make parakeet has a blue cere, or the top part of the beak with the nose, and a female cere turns a brownish color. I have a parakeet that is 10 months old and he is molting for the first time. I think he is a male because the edges of the cere is a bluish color, but the middle has not gained a definite color yet. How soon does the cere change color?
