I was planning on cooking turkey (obviously) but I was wondering if there were ways to make the foods we all love for Thanksgiving in a healthy way, maybe cook them differently or replace some ingredients to make them healthier. I would love to have stuffing, mashed popatoes, yams, vegetables and the like but would be open to substituting them for different foods. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Happy holidays and happy halloween :-)

I only have one color frosting, and I just walked to 7Eleven...They didnt have candied letters, frosting, or anything.

Could you make something using eggs, sugar and flour, or creamcheese, or something?

any time I've had lasagna it's been bland and light on the cheese, so i'd like a recipe that includes lots of cheese and flavor, and possibly meat. nothing overly spicy either since this isn't just for me. i need an exact recipe that isn't too complicated since i'm an exacting person who doesn't have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. any help would be greatly appreciated!

My recipe says to use a roasting pan. I don't have one - can I use my casserole dish instead? It's deep and thick ceramic with a pyrex glass lid? Will it cook it the same way?

I'm trying to make Halloween cupcakes for my daughter's class, and I wasn't thinking ahead. The decorations I want to do would look best on white frosting, but I got yellow cake mix.

I don't really want to add flavor, just make it moist. I'm actually using a Jiffy mix that only makes half the amount of a regular cake mix, so that might make a difference.

I'm looking for simple ideas because I don't want to spend a lot of time...hence the pot. I don't want anything plain though so I guess I'm interested in what spices to use with what food for a crock pot. Thanks.

Also, when do you add them? In the middle of when it cooks or in the beginning when it's frozen? I normally get frozen chicken from Trader Joe's, and it says to just cook it without defrosting first. I've been putting spices on but they never soak into the chicken at all and it is always dry tasting. Thanks!
