Marriage & Divorce - 14 November 2007

There are a few things that bug me daily, i wake up thinking about them, and during the day on and off, and then at night before bed. How can i get this stuff out of my head, and everytime it comes up I tell myself No, everything will be okay. Don't worry or stress over it but it's still in my head and wont go away. Have you ever thought like this to? What do you do to help yourself get over it and move on with your life so it doesn't drag you down or make your day worse...? You can answer this even if you are not married but in an LTR or if you have had one in the past.

My husband is the father of my 3 year old son. We seperated a year ago and only recently got back together. Since we reunited my son has been acting very angry and hates being around his dad (only when we're all in the house together).
I need some advice on what I can do to make the transition of dad being back in the house easyier for both dad and son.
And just a note : The whole time we were apart my son was with me 90% of the time. So, as you can imagine he is very close with me and I feel he gets VERY jealious when my husband and I show each other any kind of attension.

I have caught him several times and she has called him at all hours of the night waking us up! He has constantly lied to me about talking to her. He says it is completely innocent and he just didn't tell me because he didn't wanna fight. He also said it was one-sided and he didn't initiate anything. I sent her an e-mail and told her I was tired of being woken up and she blew up and said "Did he forget to tell you that sends me messages at all hours of the night!" Then she called me a *****! I showed him the message and denied calling or texting her. Then he refused to call her about it. She called me a ***** and he didn't even stick up for me! We saw her a few months ago and they didn't even acknowledge each other. I thought that was strange. Yesterday I asked him why he thought she didn't say anything and he said he had no clue! Today I found out they had seen each other in the parking lot while I was inside and he told her not to talk to him once they went inside because I was there

trouble in their marriages? Do you think it has alot to do with people not respecting the vows that said on there wedding day? I hear & have been through so many cases of everyone out for theirself in relationships. I just don't understand what is going on in our soceity.

My hubby is always out and leaves me on my own every evening for 5 or 6 hours, I am recently bereved as my dad passed away just few months ago. And I am alone with just the telly, I've told him many a times I'm not happy with him going out every night, but it falls on deaf ears. What shall I do? His friend has more influence on him than I do. Also my hubby knows I cant stand his friend, when I go out he is constantly on the phone to him. I come in after a shift working and he doesnt even ask how my day has been. Hes just on the phone chatting to this friend for ages. His friend works my hubby doesnt. His friends life is sorted my husband is doing nothing to find work. I work pay bills sort out the house. He sleeps late and wakes up one in the afternoon. Then he goes on the internet thats his life. We might be going for ivf I had a appointment but he cancelled it because hes saying we cant afford it. I feel he is ruining my life and I just hate him at the moment help guys

My friend just started a new job about 3 months ago. She is married. Her boss is also married. They talk alot about relationships stuff. He is not happy in his marriage but he has 2 kids that he has to think about too. She has a daughter and is equally unhappy in her marriage. Everything they complain to each other about is the exact same complaints. He has even said that he could see himself with someone like her. She is looking for someone just like him and she doesn't know what to do. He is amazing to her. He treats her like a queen at the office. He gives her advice and feedback on things that she chooses to discuss with him. Her husband is nothing like her boss. She has searched her whole life to find someone like him but now that she found him... he is married, but not happily married. What is your advice for her?

My ex-wife dropped my kids off on my door (11/15/2006) after being divorced from me for two years. I continued to pay child support until July of this year, at the rate of about $350.00 a month even though the kids lived with me all that time. I had just quit my job to start nursing school when my kids showed up. My new wife is keeping us going. I can't afford the $4000.00 to take ex back to court to change the judges order. I finally had to stop paying the $350.00 because as a student, I make 0$ ( My new wife was paying the $350.00 until she changed jobs and we can no longer afford to). I'm just waiting for the ex to get mad about something and have me put in jail for non payment. Legal aide in Ga is a joke, and will NOT help me because I'm MALE. Ex gets the kids TWO days a month and offers no support. I have about 18 months till I graduate and being picked up by the cops would be the end of school for me as my record must remain spotless to be a Nurse. Help!

My husband of 5 years has repeatedly kept secrets and has lied to me, and some HUGE ones came out in the past few weeks. I don't want to lose him because I love him and we have two small children, but how do we function when I don't trust him and I don't respect him? I have a baby with him and we have been together for 3 years. I no I am not perfect, but I am so tired of him always telling me that I do things wrong. I make almost twice what he brings home so u would think he would appreciate that, but instead he gets upset at me because he says that the reason why he brings home less is because I made him quit his last job. How can someone make you quit a job? I told him it was his choice but now that he brings less $ in he blames it on me and he wont let it go. When I was pregnant he punched me in my face, but in his defense I hit him first because he called me a B****. About 2 months ago I made a comment about his penis just joking around and he beat me till I had bruises all over me. I took pics in case I needed them, but I deleted them in hopes that things would just get better. He realizes he has a problem and he wants to stop drinking. Been together for 7mos. There is this girl that had wanted to go out with him before we met. She is married with 2 kids and lives in a different state. In the past 2wks she has been calling for dumb things to talk to him. One was if he had talked to a mutual friend of them. Other was that she was gonna send him pics of her kids and some kind of fund raiser they are doing. He tells me that right before we met she was gonna come visit him and see if things worked out between them and if they would of she was gonna leave hubby and come live down here w/kids. He says there has never been anything between them. That he has always told her that he would never have anything with her. I think there is something there he is not telling me. I trust him but dont see the reason behind them talking. He had a pic of her in his rm but he took it down. but still has pic of kids.Do you think Im been jealous and incosiderate? I dont know if I should tell him to stop talking to her or not?

I am trying to get a divorce from my common law spouse (Texas). I cannot afford an attorney, but I dont want him to try to take my house and vehicle. How do I go about this? I have heard about the self divorce kits, and even looked at them this morning on the net, but are they legit? And, can I still use it if I am common law?

My son is 10 years old. He has been smart mouthing me all day, he constantly moans when asked to do something & is basically a selfish git! I have grounded him, taken away his beloved pokemon cards & banned him from every electrical appliance in the house oh & also his football training. He still argues with me when told to do something and has major tears & strops. I have had enough. My mum & dad would send us to bed without any tea but would it be frowned upon today? I threatened him with bread & water if he didn't quit! I love him dearly but feel i have to put my foot down once and for all.

Those are just two answers to a Q&A on Yahoo. When I hear stuff like that it just racks my brain. I just start asking a million question about people. Their are just so many things that are hard to comprehend. Especially from the first reponse. How important is the way you treat your spouse or partner?

My ex-husband just died. He was the father of my child and, although he was allowed to - he just chose not to visit. I did receive child support. Recently, he began calling our child and talking on the phone. They never had a chance to meet. This was a sudden death. My child wants to attend the funeral with me. My husband is not going. Since I told him of my ex's death and he knows I am communicating with his family, my husband has basically shut me off. His conversation is centered around how horrible my ex was and that he never saw his child and made it difficult to get support as well as his family never visiting either. I feel that this was the father of my child and he is gone. It can only be beneficial to meet the extended family that has not been around until now. My husband won't talk, doesn't hold me at night like he used to since this happened. Quite frankly, at this point, I don't care as I'm sick of the jealousy & infantile behavior. Advice?

What are the signs of a cheating relationship/marriage? Anyone have any experience in this department... I know theres going to be a lot of answers on this one... Reason I want to know is my husband started acting funny 2 weeks ago and I just found out he has gotten divorce papers without even telling me he had got them!!! I havent done anything to make him upset with me and he came back from a trip two weeks ago and started to treat me differently saying he wasnt attracted to me anymore and that he just wasnt happy with our relationship. He gave me an excuse for the reason he was acting funny when I asked him and it was that he was planning a suprise for me and that he needed me to go visit some friends for a week.... this 'suprise' turned out to be a lie. He also doesn't want to spend time with me anymore or go places and he doesn't want to be at home anymore. I just cant believe that things would all go to hell like this for no reason in two weeks...what do you think?

I went to india and met someone that I like, and we did not have time for engagement, but we want to go ahead now. Is there a way that if I file for her as a fiance visa from USA, then she can go to indian embassy or wherever she has to go, and then get the visa, then I can come back to india after the 4-6 months, and then we can have the engagement and marriage and then she can come back with me right away. I am a US citizen.

i told a man at my work that i'm very attracted to that i just want to be friends as i'm not divorced from my husband yet only seperated. I told him i respect my marriage even though i don't want to be with my husband. He came over to my house one day actually the first time i meet him outside of work and he was all over me it was so bad i had to ask him to leave. We hadn't even gone on a date. Since then he has texted me and called which i don't answer when he comes in the break room i get up and leave. Another co worker everyday asks me why i don't like him anymore hmm..? anyways i just found out my husband who is the military just went to a strip club and paid alot also he rents hotel rooms on his weekend passes as i see from our bank account. Well i got away from this guy because i was afraid of cheating with him as he is very hot. should i talk to him now since my husband probably is cheating or should i wait and be the better person.
