Marriage & Divorce - 17 November 2007

After finding out that my ex wife was having an affair then splitting up cause she stated that she was unhappy for years and used the old cliche "I love you but not in love with you" does life ever get better? I constantly try and close off what has happened and move on but its always there. I'm in a new relationship now and things are going great but just need to forget the past but can't. Any advise?

My partner is 18 stone and only 5ft 11in. I am a normal size and I am worried my partner will give himself a heart attack being this size. When I met him 10 years ago he was only 13 stone, but his weight has crept up, and now I just don't find him attractive anymore. This is really making me miserable. Yes I have tried talking to him, but he just loves cooking and loves his food too much. Last time I mentioned it, he just sulked for weeks! He is in early thirties. Any constructive advice welcome.

Our sex live has dwindled to a rare one time a week thing. We used to be all over each other. I just woke up and he was looking at porn on the internet, I got upset. His ex wife is interferring in our relationship and causing many problems. It seems that nothing is right with us anymore and I don't know what to do. I can't stand living this way and am so hurt by all of this that crying doesn't even happen...I am numb. I just don't know what to do about it all. What to do?

About 18 months ago my brother was murdered by his wife, who is now incarerated. My retired parents took on the task of raising the five children. It has been realy hard on the entire family, but I think most difficult for my mother. My parents who lived with my wife and I moved into my brothers house too care for the children. We were hoping not too uproot the kids from their already familuar routines and backrounds, we felt this would only further tramatize the children. There are five children ages 6 to 17. Recently I had suggested that the time has come to sell both my home and my brothers home so that we could all move in together. My parents are not getting any younger and its been very trying for them. When I mentioned this too the kids two began crying intensely, which broke my heart. I don't know if I'm doing more damage than help. My wife and I do not wish too move to my brothers home in the city. Just don't know what else too do?

My BF is 34 years old.
He is lawyer with two advanced degrees.
His dad bought him his house and car. But his Dad's name is the ONLY 1 on 'his house'
Even though my bf is a lawyer he has zero savings and is in fact in debt he tells me.
Last year he had 19k in credit debt after he was fired and used credit to survive on (mind you he had no car or mortgage payments)
I do love him but he laments he is bad with money but acts immature if i tell him how i have saved.
Im in my 30s too and have a modest networth for my age (about 160k total)
I like to spend my money too and I should have 350k by now, but I SPENT aton over last 10 years.
But I also work like a maniac.
ANyway I do not understand how he has no savings.
He has promised me he will change and be an adult when we get married, he says having kids will make him work much harder.

SHould I believe him ?

. She said to me "aww. your so cute"
.She isnt afraid to touch me she sometimes touches or rubs agiasnt my arm
. Makes frequent eye contact "the eye contact were you feel like she is waiting for something"
. Sometimes says whats up but she generaly ignores me
. Seems nervous around me I was helping her with something once and she berly spoke a word
. She has tried to partner up with me before in science

It may seem obvious but she ignores me and doesnt really make an effort to get to know me. We have know each other for about a year but where not at the friends level.
I would talk to her but i just get so nervous i cant talk to her. oh ya were 18 shes 3 months older but i dont think she knows that



I really do care about her. when i look her in the eyes they just have this glow that really makes me think she feels the same way

i catch my husband having numbers that he gets from other women and when i call him on it, he says he has no intention of calling them. He admits that as long as he can get a number that its proof enough that he still gots "game". is that stupid, should i get mad and do you think he is lieing and he probably does call these other women? what would you do???

I have heard that when one is intimate with one's partner, in women there are hormones that release, that calm her and also actually make her more attracted to her spouse/partner. My question is for men to reply to mainly: do you feel more emotionally attached/attracted to your spouse, the more intimacy you experience together? Or is it a much bigger deal, emotionally speaking, for women than for men?

He treats me like crap...says I'm too heavy and that he could get better. I'm a size 8, dress nicely and get hit on all the time. He never has sex with me and tells me he wants "the perfect woman"... I take care of our kids, work hard and just want to spend quality time with him. I took him out to dinner and he just goes to his room. I ask why we dont make love and he says because I'm too ugly. I'm sick of it. He said girls hit on him all the time and that I'm not good enough. Is he as hot as he says he is? Women, your opinion?

i know that its wrong what im doing but i love him, he doesnt want to leave his wife because of everything they have(financially wise) when i got pregnant i told him i was gonna have an abortion but he didnt let me have one,his wife knows about us and i wont leave him,how long can i wait for him to resolve his problems with her or can i even expect something else from him? i dont know what to do anymore please help

I met my husband through his ex. They were engaged but she had a self discovery I guess and found out she was lesbian. She actually set us up for our first date. She's still close to my husband and they have a good friendship. anyway we got married and the whole thing and she was there throughout all of it very supportive. we're coming up on our 2nd year anniversary. My problem though is that recently this lesbian broke up with her partner and when that happened I started having sexual dreams about her. And these images stay with me and I can't get rid of them. So much has happen during our marriage and yet I still cant let go, This probably makes no sense. But my heart loves my husband 4 life. He was just remanded thursday for a criminal case (theft). The history of us goes like this in 94 we met we fell in love, he started doing drugs was a drug dealer, had a gf that he told me he had broke up with and of course I believed it because she was gone for months and I went to his moms house and he stayed with me so I had no reason to believe otherwise. He got caught slippin and was getting really weird his drug use got worse he was livin to lives plus the drugs I was pregnant it was hard he would like and lie and I knew it ws guilt that made him so ugly I watched him go down the hill, its hard to watch someone you love loose themselves. Biut he didnt get rid of one of us he tried to manage it, of course he could not. the ***!!! Instead he steals a car goes to prison fo r 6 years. We are married I have the baby 2 days after his bday.
