My husband is the father of my 3 year old son. We seperated a year ago and only recently got back together. Since we reunited my son has been acting very angry and hates being around his dad (only when we're all in the house together).
I need some advice on what I can do to make the transition of dad being back in the house easyier for both dad and son.
And just a note : The whole time we were apart my son was with me 90% of the time. So, as you can imagine he is very close with me and I feel he gets VERY jealious when my husband and I show each other any kind of attension.

Well you need to start by including your son in the affection that you're showing each other- I mean, obviously you show your son affection but I'm saying affection between all 3 of you together. Also, give him time. He's confused about how the situation keeps changing.

You have every right to be angry and yet the anger you feel creates a chemical imbalance in the body and this is felt by the baby This is all about you now not HIM When you find your mind wandering to him remember to think about you and the kids... Let it go all you can till after the baby is born..you dont need to torture yourself with negativity while ready to exoerience a miracle Guys do go off the deep end at this time sometimes and they get emotional, thinking they are trapped, or in a rut or getting old or a number of things. But whatever he is thinking or dong, it is all about you and your happiness and your kids. You need help and support an d hopefully you are getting it from friends or family You are mature and you are incredibly strong and you can rely on yourself and that is so important

Purposefully balance out the closeness. Make sure until it is balanced back out, that he spends MOST of the time with him, and/or at least most of the positive experiences.

He needs to reconnect with him. That is done through many positive experiences. It may take some time, but YOU are the one to re-establish this connection.

Always show positive feelings and excitement to your husband in front of him. Don't display disappointment, displeasure and disapproval towards your husband in front of your son.

Let your husband have ONLY daddy/son times. Through time, experiences and positive memories, it will eventually even back.

Make it work!

The only thing you can do is just have the daddy pay your son more attention. show your son that he is also a fun person to be with besides his mommy. he can take him to the park buy him Ice cream, get him a toy, kind of buying his love for a short while until the boy realizes that daddy isn't a bad person. Maybe all of this can help.

Not uncommon for children to be jealous when a parent shows anyone other than them affections. Best thing to do is include him...if the two of you hug-pick him up and have a group hug. If you are snuggling on the couch...they everyone snuggles together. And also, him having some daddy n me time would be good too.

It sounds like your son may have a little jealousy. He is not used to sharing you with his dad and I'm sure you are trying to make things work so you are being very attentive towards your husband. I have 3 boys who also have jealousy issues. I try to give them a date night, even if its just watching their favorite movie just the two of you.

try to relax and explain to your child that he shouldnt make daddy upset.. try guilt trips if thats what it takes...kids can be stumbling blocks ...i know from experience...they would start wars with me and the previous husband
