Marriage & Divorce - 30 October 2007

I chose to leave the marriage after 13 years. My leaving her was, because everithing in my life with her has to be a nag and complain. I just could not take it anymore. Control issues, lack of patience. I love her, and she loves me. The divorce is imminent, and we are still together. She says she wants to be with me but she cant, in accoubt that I left her. I did not leave to be with another woman, in fact that was the last thing I needed then, more complication, no way. Just needed peace. She begged me back and I asked her to please make sure that if I did , to not be resentful or make it an issue, (I knew it would become one). I bought myself a car while I was separated, and she did not like that. I needed a better car for work. (only an issue because of what comes next). She said , If we are going to be back together, then I want a diamond ring. (not a 1 karat or 2 karat, but a 5.5 karat ring). I bought her one with my savings, which I knew thatit was stupid, but I love her so what.

Okay I'm 51 and am in my 2nd marriage of not even 3 years that is probably going to end within a few months from now!

In my 1st marriage my then 12 year old son walked in on me with my now current husband I was having an affair and well the divorce came not long after!

My husband got full custody and I got visitation plus child support of $900 a month, 3 weekends and once a week visits that I had to go to court for. My son was so angry and informed the judge what he thought of my husband and I for cheating on his father, he would not accept me anymore as his mother!

3 years later he'll be 15 on the 20th of Nov. and I'm still in doghouse and my son refuses to see me. Husband and I have more arguments now to the point that he left me and asked me for a divorce!

I thought I finally found my soul mate but he's living with another woman and telling me it was nothing but lust between us!
He also says I was a dry f**k and he was glad to get rid of me,
So much for true love!

First things first, i live in joint family......and can't move out right away.

So, give me solution other then that.

My bro-inlaws wife , who is very dear to my M.I.L and S.I.L by doing all her politics is runing my any chance of good relationship with my inlaws. She lie in funny way and criticize me to the point, she has convinced every female of the house that im going to take thier son away and move out.

Also that ONLY she does most of work, and i'm this that blah blah. She keeps telling them the smallest of things that happen in house. I married one year after her. She already had them stick to her all the time.

They never let me in, i tired and i tried. My sil and mil will even fight with me or accuse me coz of wt thier other D.I.L said.

They will even fight with thier son/bro if he takes my side. To the point that she yesterday said to my hubby that ur wife has definetely cast a spell on u.

its going no where, its all coz of bro-in-laws wife. help

He has a son well he thinks he is his son and he constantly complains about how he wants his son to live with us, but i dont want to take care of someone elses kid it sounds mean but that is just how i feel. The boy is not taken care of, he has skin problems he has very bad teeth, I had to give him a bath for 2 hours and the tub was black. The mother of him she gave him away to my husbands parents she said we could have him , then took him back and said forget it. We have 3 boys and i dont want to have anything to do with these people they are nasty. My husband says his ex is part of his family they were never married and his son is his family I cant understand that I told my husband its either our family our he can leave. Help!!!!!!!!!!1

I weigh 155 lbs. and am 5'4 tall, mid twenties woman. My stomach is not too flat anymore, and my body doesnt look as good as an 18yr olds would. granted, i dont have much muscle either. given those facts, would you run to p**n and m********ion if you were my husband>? would you neglect me for months? see i know i am not as attractive as i used to be, but i'm not too fat either. to other people i look normal. yes i can work on my weight to be more muscular and fit...but what happens when i get older...i'm still young and not so ugly and my husband would rather do p""n in secret than care for me while he knows i suffer. am i crazy to be angry and upset, b/c i dont think i am.

Things used to be great (sexually) between my husband and I when we were dating. As soon as we moved in together he got real shy but I figured he would get over it after awhile (I was the first woman he's ever lived with and by his stories definitely the most "adventerous"). I love him to death and now we are married and have two beautiful daughters. But if I never brought up sex then it would probably never happen!! He won't ever try to turn me on, take the reigns, or be playful at all. The only time he initiates sex is on weekend mornings (this is VERY RARE) and it's usually bc he was horny in his sleep and is trying to plug me before he's even really awake. been with bf on and off for almost 3 years (last 2 years solid-no breakups). we've had our issues due to me having PMDD (caused alot of our fights-now takes meds and see a counselor) and him being too used to being a bachelor. i'm 28 w/3 girls part-time that he loves very much and he's 29 never been married or lived w/a gf.

we've been seeing a counselor for a couple of weeks now to help sort out the little hangups that are causing our arguments. he was totally agreeable to going. but in the sessions, he seems scared of having a "timeline" of me and the kids moving in w/him being put on him. the counselor asked him what he thought should happen if we didnt fight anymore-his anwers were to have the kids spend more time at his house during the day and eventually all of us spending the night there. but he stated that just b/c we were all spending the night didn't mean we were going to move in right away.

We tied the knot only after a few months of knowing one another. I come from a different country. When we were dating he made several trips to my across the continents to meet me & my family.

Shortly after we married, I moved to be with him. However only a few weeks later, trouble started. He kept saying he made a mistake & wanted me to ‘get out of his house’ – over every little disagreement we had. This also resulted in him destroying my books & other personal belongings. I lived in fear all those months. When my parents visited us later in the year, he threw them out of our house too – without an apology. And still refuses to apologise even today.

Today we are separated. I am devastated & broken-hearted given the way things went as I always believed that a marriage should last a lifetime. He says he is disappointed & sad as well!! What gives? Any ideas on what might explain his behaviour? How did he expect things to be any different??

How does a couple go about testing the waters with swinging? We're happily married for over 17 years, but we'd like to try something different to "spice" things up a bit. Don't want any "you'll go to hell" or "why did you get married" answers. I'm an atheist and my wife is non-practicing, so you're wasting your time. And marriage is primarily a financial relationship anyhow. Afterall, you can love more than one person anyhow (I love my wife, my kids, my mom, etc.).
