2 family friends for decades.betty(female)& etty(male)met eachother became friends.etty was abroad working betty was in college.etty left home due to issues.betty was at home.both were friends but fell in love when went through everything death of a friend,ops together.Since ettys rich educated popular handsome man,betty was geeky nerd duckling in process to become swan girl.They kept in touch by emails & phone.Both were in love etty was scared to commit betty was in love.First 2 yrs etty was wonderful but after finding out betty lied few times like sending anothers photo,height,weight white lies after 2 years for next 3 years etty used to call ***** **** whore etc by email when angry tell on bettys family.bettys lied fearing would fall in love with etty & it would not work out.So guess ettys name calling for 3 yrs by email is justified.Past 3 years back this happened now fast forward to Betty & Etty at present.Continued please read.Betty is 25 gorgeous single working rich travels successful Etty 35 single reconnect after meeting again exchanging pictures.They meet after years in person again.Etty is totally in love with Betty thinks shes beautiful all misunderstandings cleared hasnt called names for past 1 yr being together directly in person not by email wants to commit marry Betty.Betty sometimes remembers years back by email etty used to call her names for almost 3 years it keeps coming back to her though etty is changed man now with age matured totally crazily in love with Betty wants to marry her.Betty does love etty.What does Betty do to stop getting reminded that years ago when in college long distance email communication for 3 years after betty lied few times etty used to call her names since now with age maturity etty has changed totally crazily loves her wants to marry her betty loves him too.Basically 7 yrs later both are grown up matured with age totally in love with eachother married kid etc.

Past is past.Everyone learns from their mistakes and they fell in love.Online is different from in person.Now they are grown up in love married have kids happily ever after.

Etty was totally wrong he was the one who did not want to comment to Betty so she e-mail a picture of herself to another man she did nothing wrong. I don't get it why should he care what she did and why did he assume that she would be there for him when HE was ready. To say name calling for 3 years was justified is ludicrous.Years went by but you see how we women don't forget ever, we are good at putting thing behind us and moving ahead and that's what she did . That doesn't mean she has forgotten make know mistake about that.Just like a fairy tale they live happily ever after,kids and all. It's easier said then done my friend.

As for Betty, if she feels she knows Etty enough and is convinced that he's changed, move on from the past. Let Etty know that he hurt her with the name calling. Communicate.

first, there was no question.
then, if you both are truly in love with each other, you forget about the past and move on with your life. Betty was 17 or 18 years old, and etty was 27 or 28 years old, probably both young and stupid back then. everyone makes mistakes, once in their lifetime... people changed, some get better-some get worst. the bottom line is--- you have to move on with your life and do not let the shadow of your past ruin your present and future life together.

well the name calling obviously is in the past,they are happy and married now with a child so why is betty worrying aboutt the emails anyway? she did'nt worry about them when she said "i do" at the altar so why now??? forget etty's emails and leave them in the past where they belong.

I am not sure what your question is. In any case, I think you have the answer i.e. both have are now more mature.
I think you should try to forget the past. What matters is the present. You both love each other, but you will not be happy if you keep remembering the past. The white lies and name calling does not sound like a big deal. Both did something wrong...just forget it about it...and enjoy the present.

Betty needs to also remember her lies and how hurtful they can be. She was not some innocent thing. She did wrong first.
