Has he had a sleep study? He could have Obstructive Sleep Apnea (see website below for signs/symptoms, etc info). Your usual doc can refer you to a sleep spedcialist. OSA is easily treated with a CPAP machine which is available with a prescription after a sleep study. Most insurance companies will pay for a CPAP (if your plan covers it) after a full sleep study evaluation and a diagnosis of OSA. If he does have OSA, and it is left untreated, it can lead to significant health issues. Get it checked out! Hope this helps -- good luck!!!! :)

He has sleep apnea. You don't have to be overwieght to have it. I have worked at a dr. office for 5 years and deal with it daily. They have machines for it called cpap machines that you wear at night to keep you from snoring. Most insurances will pay for them, They are a little hard to get used to though. It is a mask that fits over your face. If you are determined to sleep together he could try it. You could also try sleeping with a fan on to drown out some of the noise.

A friend of mine sleeps with ear plugs.
I just give my husband a nudge if I wake up because due to it and he'll roll over to stop. However I've learnt if I fall asleep on the couch while he stays up, I can stumble into bed when he does. This will make me fall asleep straight away, and quite heavily meaning I'll sleep through any sleeping noises. But earplugs are probably easier.

Yeah my husband does the same thing....snores like freakin crazy and grinds his teeth, I hate that! I've learned he snores more when he's really tired, or drunk....but most of the time I just tell him to turn on his side and he listens....don't know what to do about the teeth grinding though.......

Sleep in different rooms. Have cuddle time on the sofa before bed.
Sometimes the key to a good marriage is a good nights sleep, rather then sleeping next to your snoring/distrubing/annoying spouse.

With out any health issues, do what I have to do, ear plugs. Sounds terrible, but I love my husband and can't stand to be without him. So, after trying all the standard stuff, ear plugs work for me. Here's wishing for quite nights, Chaplain Debby

My hubby talks in his sleep. I guess I grind my teeth. We just learned to live with it. When he talks, I nudge him. When I grind my teeth, he nudges me. I'd rather nudge all night than lose being able to sleep next to him....:)
