Rather than answer that question, I'll ask you a couple of mine. Is it possible for someone to love someone who is totally wrong for them.? Is it possible for someone to use the other person.? For their own purposes.? Is it possible for someone who loves you to disagree, or dislike the other person you love.? Is it possible for you to have someone you totally trust, to give you their opinion about the other person, maybe the one you love.? Is it possible that someone else who loves you, and that you totally trust has a good reason to keep those two people apart.? Oh, and by the way, yes it is possible for someone, or some people to try to keep them apart.

It really depends, some friends are genuinely happy for you, and some want you to be miserable and thus they may try to keep them apart. you have to take each person on a case by case basis in order to judge if they approve of the relationship or not. Overall, it is up to the man and woman to maintain the relationship not other people. Just My opinion
