I'm just asking because at what point, without a legitimate excuse, does it become acceptable to withhold sex? Obviously marriages are important, but at what point do you say enough is enough with the sex issues. I am asking not as much for myself, but friends of mine who have wives withhold sex on a regular basis and we were talking about his the other day, so just curious about people's thoughts on this subject.

My best friend's wife cheated on him, and he left her. He's been living with me for a month and a half. A little bit ago, he told me he's been talking with her, and he's thinking about giving it another shot. I think he's stupid for even thinking it because, "Once a cheater, always a cheater." I want to tell him that nicely, but I'm afraid it'll drive him to her. Would you tell him, or would you just be there for him when she breaks his heart again?

Ok I know that every relationship has problems and that marriage takes so much work especially now days but lately I feel so alone in my relationship. I feel I can not talk to my husband and I find that things between us seem hostile a lot lately. He never seems to care that I am upset, hurt, concerned etc. He claims that he is but that he does not show it the same way as me. I can be crying and he carries on like nothing is going on at all and this makes me feel so alone and empty. He shows no emotion at all accept when he is angry and then all I get is yelling and stuff. I do not like to put a lot of my personal business on here but I really do feel confused, lonely and alone right now and I am scared of what is going on and at the fact that I think of leaving at times but at the same time I hate the idea of being without him. What do I do?

We live paycheck to paycheck with a little extra money sometimes and when we get the extra we buy something as a family decision. Well my husband got a $1300 bonus check. He deposited 1100 of it and kept out $272. My understanding was were going to catch up stuff. I went to work tonight, and he called and said him and the kids went to get our 14 yr old a winter coat. Ok fine.....well he called back and said he spent $83 on the coat, and then left and went to wal-mart to get some shoes for our son. The issue isn't walmart, but Walmart sells nice winter coats for under $30. and that is what I said to him and he got mad????????? I buy everything at walmart, why couldn't he have bought a $30 jacket at walmart, instead of buying this $83 coat?? Am I crazy? or blowing it out of proportion?

I am living in limbo--that gray area in a relationship full of uncertainty and unknowing. I recently got engaged to the woman of my dreams. I purchased a home, downsized my life, and began to build my life around her. My family has been an issue, but I chose her. Coming from an Italian family, the drama of la familia has taken its toll on us both, and she has recently taken her ring off. She says she is uncertain of our future, wants to take it day by day. Should I be concerned? I love her deeply, madly. I fear it may no longer be recipricol. How should I respond?

My husband is getting out of a 6 month drug rehab program on Friday. I want to know if it is ok to allow him to drink alcohol or not. Alcohol was never a problem for him, cocaine was his only addiction. I do not drink very often. I will maybe have 1 or 2 drinks every couple of months. I just wanted to know if I should ban all alcohol from our home? I just need some guidance on this one. Serious, helpful answers please.

My wife watches porn. I've stopped doing the things she doesn't like and stopped doing things that single men do when we got together. I caughter writing to a man she slept with before us about our sex life and she even thanked him for the sex they had when they were together. After that she goes and calls another guy she slept with. If I had done all this I wouldn't hear the end of it. What am I doing wrong?

Are there any circumstances under which you would not confront your spouse if you suspected they were cheating?

I have a friend and she's fallen in love with a man,but she wants to know if he loves her too. She doesn't want to ask him because if he doesn't love her, she'd be embarrassed.

He worries about her
He always says he misses her
He has a lot of passion for her
He's concerned about her present and future
He's a friend to her when she needs to talk
He's offered to help her financially or any way he can if she needs something.
He tells her she's beautiful every chance he gets

I keep telling her at the very least he cares about her a great deal and love will come in time. They've been going out for 3 months, but are very close.

What do you think?

There was this woman I met on the bus stop named Kim. We talked for a minute, then when I asked how can we get in contact she said "I don't think my husband would appreciate that." She didn't answer my question. I thought she was lying so I paused for a minute and said "How long have you been married?" She said 7 years and she was with him for 17 years. I knew the converstaion was over with after that so I didn't really say much else.

Rephrasing When 2 people are in love like I and my partner disagree or argue for nothing. Its not that we have issues, not that we hate eachother, not that theres problem. We just argue over nothing. My partner starts it.Example when we are writing to each other i talked about meeting up after work he said taking advantage and teasing me b****.Is this like dirty talk before passionate lovemaking or something?Im in my 20s professional working. My partner is in 30s professional educated powerful rich man busy,no parents has had gfs in past,we fell in love.No cheating,we are together and in love. Why does partner talk that way for no reason yet love me like crazy, intimacy is good,we have good life together. No abuse we are married.

So our whole relationship started off bc i just gave in and decided that maybe there could be something between us. He used to call me everyday and buy little gifts when he went out of town....NOW he calls only sometimes and he doesnt come visit me as much as he did in the beggining "we live two hours apart" when i ask him if he has lost intrest he tries to reassure me that he truley loves me and that i'm the only one that he loves!!!! So is it the fact we've been together so long or has he truley gotten tired of me.... what could i do to catch his attention again and spark things back up ?

Im 29, and just tired of my life. I'm female, been divorced for 4 years, i've pretty much given up on men. I go to work, come home, sometimes go to the gym, sometimes do nothing. I hung out with friends sat and sun night...i just feel incredibly unfulfilled. I"m in a masters program (meets once a week) and i'm SO not into it. I have all these ideas on what i want to do, but i dont do any of it! I just do what i have to do to get by. Ive been feeling really dismayed about life...i feel like i have no purpose!! Does anyone else feel this way??

My mother in law is completely controlling. She picked out our house for us and since my wife agrees with everything she says, that is the house we bought. I feel like I don't have a say in anything.

Her mom is even listed on our bank account !!! We have had nothing but problems with her and my wife thinks I am the problem. She thinks if I would just go along with what her mom says, we wouldn't have any problems. Her mom is the source of 99% of our arguments.

Most recently after we ran a credit check on my wife, we found out her mom had opened 7 credit cards in her name and now has ruined her credit. My wife didn't even care.

I have tried every way possible to try to work things out, but I am starting to wonder if it is even possible to save our marriage if my wife isn't on my side. We have a 16 month old son together and I want to be here for him, but her mom has been controlling us for almost 9 years now with no sign of change and I can't take it anymore.

What to do if a woman loves her spouse deeply, but she hates the way he makes love to her and the way he kisses her even.
What to do if she has tried to show him how she would like things done, but he never seems to get it and it just ends up irritating her. Sometimes she feels terrible because she misses the way someone else she used to date did it.

I've notice that the house isn't as clean as it once was, I've notice some dust and the laudry isn't quite where it once was. I've noticed her attitude has been changing also...to give you an example I called her work the other day cause I couldn't find the remote that SHE lost...he boss told me she couldn't come to the phone cause she was busy...that pissed me. I called her parents to see if they had any idea's...her dad was real nasty with me and smarted off (a$$ hole)...he hates me because I've been outta work for a couple of years and he THINKS it's all my fault...NOT!! I had to quit because my old boss was a jerk. Any-who...cathy was late (AGAIN) coming home from work the other night so my mom had to come over and fix my dinner...well it turns out that cathy had our kitchen organized wrong so my mom fixed it the right way....cathy came home and exploded...I said you should thank my mom for fixing your mess...she didnt' care crap!

any advise how to fix her?

I was a homemaker prior to my divorce (he cheated) and am still looking for decent work. I've found countless jobs outside of Cleveland and decided to move myself and my children to where the job I'm taking is located. Coincedentally, my boyfriend is from that same area. I'm now getting people saying that I'm not thinking about the kids and their best interests (yes, the ex is one of them). I feel like this is my chance to get out of this city and move my kids into a better place... the country.. not to mention that I will have a job there. Unfortunately, my family is here, but my costs are lower and I have friends out there to help if I need them. I feel that it is the right thing to do in my heart. The new place is only 2.5 hours away from the ex and he is still going to get them on his weekends and holidays. I don't understand why this is such a huge deal since he's the one that left us. Am I wrong?

If you went downtown on your man and he fell asleep during it? If he told you he was really tired before, and you fooled around and were both satisfied, but then you wanted MORE and kept going, would you get upset with him? We both laughed about it the next day, and she SAID she understands, but i think deep down she's hurt a little. It's not like it wasn't enjoyable or anything, just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. What's an acceptable "I'm sorry" or apology for that?

How come we can't stay together anymore? We get in relationships and then let the smallest issues send us running away from each other. Look at the old people they are married 50, 60, even 70 years. What are the causes of so much fighting between men and women now? Is this a stupid question?
