There was this woman I met on the bus stop named Kim. We talked for a minute, then when I asked how can we get in contact she said "I don't think my husband would appreciate that." She didn't answer my question. I thought she was lying so I paused for a minute and said "How long have you been married?" She said 7 years and she was with him for 17 years. I knew the converstaion was over with after that so I didn't really say much else.

You don't need a rebuttal and it doesn't matter if she's lying. If a woman tells you she's married, she is either married or not interested. Period.
ps: if you're asking women at bus stops "how to get in contact" after only a minute or two of conversation, be prepared to meet a LOT of "married" women.

When a man approaches a woman and the woman says she is married, let that be a clue that she isn't interested. Whether or not she is telling the truth isn't the issue, the issue is if she wanted something more, she wouldn't be pulling out the marriage card. Be grateful that she let you down easy, some of us women can be down right ruthless!

There are no rebuttals to use and it doesn't matter if she was lying or not. She was trying to polite let you know that she's not interested in a relationship with you, whether she's married or not. Find a woman who is interested in you and leave this one alone.

What difference does it make? Either she's lying and wants nothing to do with you or she's being honest and wants nothing to do with you. Get over it. Why not ask her if she has any kids. Or ask her what does her husband do. I mean just because she's married you don' have to stop talking to her.
This question sounds kind of creepy and stalkerish, I mean what difference does it make if she's lying to you?

Yes i understand what your saying my cousin was that way she would bring a guy to the edge of the cliff flirting stringing him along then push him off the cliff saying he was the flirt lol so this seems to the modus oprandi not only of my cousin but this lady in question too just move on to someone more mature who wont play games whose direct

1. married - so move along
OR
2. Not interested - so move along
Doesn't matter if she's lying. Just matters that she's not available to you.

Dude she tried to let you down easy...just accept that she wasn't into you if she was lying...otherwise she really was married...some people have a long engagement before marriage, it is normal

If she is wearing a ring then she isn't lying to you.Women wear their wedding ring unlike a lot of men.
