Family - August 2007

Ok one of my not very close friends has a husband that works at the same gym as I do, but he is a personal trainer. Well I am taking one of his gym classes through the college I go to. Alot of times when Im working at the front desk he comes up there alot and talks to me. Yesterday was the first day of my gym class and there were only 4 ppl in the class and I was the only girl. Well while he was explaining the rules of the game he would mainly only look at me when he was talking. Then later on I was working out and my b/f came up to the gym to work out with me, and when me and him walked by one of the offices in the gym, the guy(my instructor) was looking out the door right as we passed, and he literally almost did a backbend trying to follow us with his eyes when we passed by that door. I dont know why he would be like this...he has a wife and I am friends with her and they have a new baby. I also asked how she was doing and he told me that she was busy taking care of 'that' baby.

we want to go away next year, i have a 7 yr old, a 6 yr old and a 1 year old(well she will be), and really want to go away for a week or 2. ive looked at butlins and find it too comercialised but cant think of any others. either self catering or full meals. many thanks xx(also i have a budget to stick too aswell)

I am the youngest child, with an older sister. I wouldn't like to be an only child as I would get lonely and would probably get too attached to my parents. I would like to be a middle child, with older and younger sibling/s. I love learning from my older sister but I would also like to teach and assist a younger sibling :)

I have been saving for over two years for a laptop. Finally I bought one about a month ago.
Do my parents have the right to tell me I can't have full control over something I purchased?
Or say I can't use it for a week?
Is there like some issue with that?
Because I have it and I can not use it regularly because I can't update my iPod, play a game, or go on myspace.

All together...
Do my parents have the right to tell me I can't use what I bought?
And can't I use it whenever for whatever I want?

Okay I will try not to make this long. My mother abandoned my brother and sister and I when I was 7, brother 4 and sister 2 1/2 years old. My sister is epileptic. She abandoned us in a apartment for a week with no food. When the weekend arrived my father showed up to pick up (visitation). We were told not to open the door for no one. We survived off cold hot dogs, no gas to cook just an electric skillet. We had kool-aid to drink with little sugar. Long story short, my little sister drank finger-nail polish remover and started having a seizure. During that time 911 was not available, you would have to dial 0 and speak with an operator. Long story short, I learned how to help my sister when she would have a seizure. Okay now, my father shows up, we would not open the door so he called the police. I later remember sitting at this office were social workers were questioning us. We later ended up with our dad and his girlfriend with whom we hated. They later married and were

My mother in-law is mean and selfish to both me and my wife. I have never said anything to my parents. They live so far away and we see each other only once a year. So when they ask I always say she is ok and leave it at that. My mom is here for a visit and my mother in law is mad at us for stupid things again and is giving us the silent treatment. She does not call or come over and she does not live far. My mom asked what is our relationship with her because she finds it odd that she is retired and not more involved in out daughter’s life. I side stepped the question and did not answer ( I did no lie just avoided) Now the Labor Day holiday is coming and she will really see the difference. We always have something really small like four or five friends over this is for every holiday. Her mother never comes for one reason or another she did not come for Christmas one year. My mom will ask again should i reveal all the awful things she does or keep it to myself

Just wondering if you have started any traditions with your children for holidays.
We have made a Thanksgiving tree. We made a leafless tree out of construction paper and hung it on a large empty section of wall in our home. Every Thanksgiving we all get a few construction paper "leaves" of different colors. Before dinner we write things we are thankful for on the leaves and hang them on the tree.
Every year the tree gets fuller and we get a chance to remember that we are thankful.
Please share your traditions.

Actually my father said that as i start incoming i have to give my all income to my mother I will get only the transport fare & tiffin cost and some more money for any urgent use.Ultimately the income will be controlled by my father.when I say this to any one father just ignore & say that he said so to rise our family income only and all the money will be kept in my bank account for my future use.He will not spend my money.But to me he said that he will control my income so that I may not do any wrong use of it.The true is he is waiting for my income.

I am 25 and my step brother is 19. He is going off to university in a couple of days to be a fireman. My Dad and his wife are footing a good portion of the bill for this. I just found out that my bro was arrested and being charged on 3 counts of drug posession. When the school finds this out he will be kicked out. My Dad doesn't know and His Wife (bro's mom) and I have always had a pretty rough relationship. She will think that I am just jealous or something. And according to her he is the golden son, and could do no wrong. I feel responsible for letting them know before the rest of the money goes out, because he won't actually get the summons to appear until he is already a week into school. But I don't want to get ousted from the family too. What should I do? What would you want as a parent?

Is it normal for a mom to call me two or three times a night. I have lived out of the home for 3 years im 21. She calls whenever shes sad or bored and always expects me to listen to her every time she calls even if I tell her I have friends over. Its every day.. But I dont want to hurt her by telling her to stop calling so much cause she will cry. SHe is real sensitive. is there anything I an do.

He was supposed to catch a flight this morning at 10.He wanted to drop me off at school today & have breakfast together.I didnt want to go cuz he embarasses me. My friends all think my dad looks exactly like Jack on Will & Grace!Which I dont have a prob with except my dad acts a little feminine sometimes. So I said I was gonna get a ride w/a friend instead. My mom said I should want to spend time with him before he left. I told her to mind her own business--then my dad was on my case & I ended up telling him to drop dead among other stuff. Then I called a friend who picked me up.
I got a call at school today from my uncle that my dad was in the ER, so I guess he didnt make it to the airport. My mom found him slumped in the bathroom unconscious. When I got to the hospital he was still unconscious.My mom was trying to get me to touch him & talk to him.I couldnt do it so I left & still havnt been back. I still dont know what happened & noone will call me from hospital. What should I do?

my dad cheats on my mom. i know, im not stupid. im not going into detail about how i know cus its too much but i know and dont ask me if i know for sure or not cus i do know for sure. my mom is very insecure. my dad has cheated on her before because its came out in proof to both me and my mom before and she told me about other times. she always asks me if hes cheating on her and of course ill tell her no because i cant handle this family being broken any more than it is. my dad yells and screams when the littlest thing breaks. he has anger problems and my mom is bipolar and suffers from paranoid/ schizophrenia. i got test many times and as far as i know i have any mental disorders. i can't tell my mom whats going on. it hurts me everyday i live on this earth. im sick of my dads cheating and yelling. and im sick of my mom's insecurities. what are some bible verses that can help me get through this time. even if you're not a Christian, give me some tips to help me through this. please?

My boyfriend of five years lives on the same road as all of his family (parents and siblings), and they are all next door to each other. For the most part, I live with him except when I've had enough and I'll go stay at my parents' house. The problem is that any time we are out in his yard or better yet just anytime his family just shows up without a call or anything. I feel selfish because this bugs me, and it doesn't bother him at all. We have actually broke up a few times over this issue. My family would never just show up like that unannounced, but his does. I hate going to the door or going out into the yard becasue of them. I know this sounds so terrible of me, but I feel like I am going to explode. It is got to the point with his brother that he is coming over every day. I can't talk to my boyfriend about it because he gets to defensive and will not talk to me, which he probably has the right to...it is his family. Anyone going through something similar or have advice?

Here is the situation my mother and I got into a confrontation over her boyfriend almost seven years ago since then we have not spoken ( it was about her boyfriend making inappropiate moves on me) she did confront him about it and they did break up but got back together regardless.
Well now I have a four year old daughter and I don't take her to see my mother at all. (because off our fall out) Anyway to make a long story short. I found out my husband took her to see my mother over six months ago and his reasoning is that he thinks I should make up with my mother and that our issue is affecting our family as well as other family members. I spoke to my sister about how mad I was and how I felt betrayed she understood how I felt but she kind of agreed with him at the same time. Am I being to harsh or do I have a reason to be so upset?
