we want to go away next year, i have a 7 yr old, a 6 yr old and a 1 year old(well she will be), and really want to go away for a week or 2. ive looked at butlins and find it too comercialised but cant think of any others. either self catering or full meals. many thanks xx(also i have a budget to stick too aswell)

DO NOT even think about Butlins!!!!!!Honestly,please don't....we went earlier in the year and it was just filthy....carpets filthy,dead fly on the sofa,bathroom mouldy,torn sheets on bed-and don't even get me started on the swimming poll-yuck!!!!Gross!!Why don't you think about the sun £9.50 holidays for next year?I bet you've seen them advertised in the paper?You collect a token from the paper every day,and then pick whereabouts in the country you want to go.We go with them twice a year and they are fab!We've never had a bad holiday with them,and the kids love the caravans!!For next years hols,the tokens start in the paper the first Saturday in January.I don't know where you live,but i would highly reccomend newquay or cornwall if its not too far away for you.For a family on a budget,they are a brilliant option.Give them a try!!

Havens would be your best answer. It has 34 parks spread around the country well around the edges anyway. I think it costs about £300 for all of yoo for a week, i think. Check the website it tells yoo all about each park and theres 3 half board ones.

I too have a family and for the third year running we've just come back from Haven Cornwall. Its absolutely beautiful.Not far from Newquay, gorgeous beaches, lots for kids of all ages and accomadation for all budgets.

we went to haven a lot at great yarmouth. obviously they have other resorts too, and are very good. they do usually have economy caravans/chalets which aren't as bad as they sound! lol
theres always somethingt o do on the site and the kids club is great too (so i'v heard)
