She had 14 children and was the matriarch of the family. Granted she was 80+ yrs old, but its still a mother to all those children.
She will leave behind some memories some sad and some happy. How can he be so cold as to not recognize this death as a sad moment for the family.
He says it was time for her to go and he thinks no one will be grieving.
I lost a patient 4 yrs ago who was 103 yrs old. Her eldest daughter stood at the bedside and cried while I held her and comforted her. I think it doesnt matter if your 35 or 105, its still someones mother/father and age doesnt make a difference. Grief is still experienced, and the loss of your parent is a sad moment no matter how old you are. Any thoughts on this?
Am I just over emotional or is he nuts? Have you lost a parent and how did you feel?

There is a very good possibility that my husband will be getting another job in Louisiana. If he gets it, then we will be moving from Ohio to Louisiana within 2-3 months. I have two small children 21 months and 5 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions/tips on the best way to move with them, like how to handle 2-3 days on the road with them - how to keep them *and me* sane! How to occupy them, etc. Also, packing tips, what I will need on the road and what I will need once we get there before the movers get there. I am getting apprehensive about this. Please HELP!!

I have been working at my job at a car dealership for 8 years as a receptionist. The job was good because its so near my house and my sons school. It also pays well.

I was fired for punching a customer in the face for calling me a b itch. she called me a ***** because her mentally retarded son said hello and i ignored him. i told her i ignore most kids and that it has nothing to do with his disability.other then my own kids i hate kids.

this job is my first and only job i ever had. now when i go look for another job who will be my reference? i can no longer use the car dealership.

Ok my bro just walked in the house and he said to me "Go do the garbage and recycling." And I said "Can't you go do it yourself?" and he got all mad at me and he said that he works all day and he shouldn't have to do anything! And he doesn't do anything! I ask him to clean up the bathroom from HIS mess and he says that he isn't the only one who uses it. Then our mom yells at me for having a messy bathroom. And I tell her its him and she tells me to just clean it because i use the bathroom too. His room is a mess and she doesn't yell at him but if my room is messy she will get all mad at me...and so I actually cleaned it and stuff...and its cleaner than his...I am tired of him what should I do?

At times, I enjoy my sister-n-laws company. However, I can't let her know when I am off work, or she will come over unannounced and uninvited. She comes over and brings my nephew, and then my daughter will not do anything I tell her to do, because she is too busy playing with him. Even if she sees that I am in the middle of something, she still wont leave. I have tried doing things like I normally would, like checking emails, cleaning, doing laundry, or making phone calls, hoping she will see she is just in the way, but she doesn't. She came over this morning, stayed for an hour, then left and came back a couple of hours later. At that point I was trying to get my daughter(3) to help me clean her room, but as soon as she saw my nephew, she didn't want to do anything. I had to tell my nephew to leave the room and then shut the door so we could finish the room. When I came out, they were still there!!! I finally went in my sons room to start cleanings, and thats when she left. Augggg!!!

I hope I am in the right place for feedback... I am the Bio Father.. I have been married now for seven years. My wife wishes to adopt my daughter from my 1st marriage, my daughter also wishes this. She is 14yrs. I am all for it and feel it to be in the best interest of our daughter, however I know my ex-wife, my daughters mother, will more than likley have no part of it. She does owe a substantial amount in CS and Back CS, but is in contact with our daughter and carries a "relationship" with her. My daughter has been calling my wife "mom" since she was 8yrs old, I am not sure how to approach this. We have consulted an attorney and have him on retainer, but I feel (like with most lawyers) he is looking for the "payday" I guess my question is this... How do I know my daughter "Really" wants this for her and not so much for "step-mom"? and if she does should I proceed with allowing the attorney to send the "letter" to BioMom explaining we would like her to consent and terminate her legal rights as "mother"... Please help as I am one who prefers to avoid conflict when possible.. I know this will create conflict.

Under current laws, if a child spends half of the time with one parent and half of the time with the other, then the amount of maintenance due is reduced by 50%. But if you both have the child equal time, which one of you has to pay maintenance? Am i the only one who thinks this is stupid?

im not saying that they are bad parents but i just wish they would be more like they use to. its like i dont even no them anymore. and they are always fighting about money.

generally if i am at home, my sister sits on the couch and lets her 19 month old baby wander around, upstairs, downstairs, everywhere. so i normally end up watching him, making sure nothing happens to him.

i have just lost a baby myself, so it's really hard for me to basically be looking after a baby full time that isnt my own. i love playing with him, but at the same time i cant discipline him or comfort him because it's not my place.

i have been really sick after the ectopic pregnancy. and i had to go to the hospital today. i told my sister i couldn't look after him today, i was in the bath and he fell down the stairs. she wants me to look after him full-time but then she can take him away at any time. and is getting too attached to me. like a 2nd mum or a dad. i find it hard to just leave him to get hurt. what should i do??

My little brother accidently left his baseball mitt and 9 new baseballs outside for the night. Today, we were going to play a baseball game and he couldn't find them and we had to tell our neighbors we couldn't play. I looked around town for 2 and a half hours. Since he was in tears, I gave him my ticket to the Cubs Phillies game tonight that I have been waiting for to see Aaron Rowand and Tadahito Iguchi. Then, my dad comes home to take us to the game and I tell him my brother is going because I felt bad for him with the mitt (it had his favorite players autograph on it). Then my dad tells me he hid it to teach him a lesson. So I didn't get to go because I wasn't ready. Then my sister was calling me names and saying, "don't say I didn't let you go." and my dad was being a brat to me. How can I stop him from doing this? He didn't even care that my sister was calling me names and that he let kids in the neighborhood down, wasted my day, and put me down when I was looking forward to the

so I sent it out to friends and family figuring it was good info to know. It even says snopes.com is cool with it. My brother in law emails back saying snopes declares it false and includes the link. He was right. And while I appreciate the clarity of the content, I'm still preturbed at his high and mighty attitude. This is just one of many episodes. He thinks he's the best person ever to live.
Is this petty? What would you do? Be honest. I need to know if I'm giving him a hard time and need to back off a little.
Thanks!!!

My boyfriend of one year has always told me he had a child as a teen dad, however due to circumstances the child was not in his life from the age of about 2 to 9 years old. The mother contacted him recently after years of not knowing his whereabouts and has started visits with him and the child.

I have no children nor do I want any at the moment and I never thought after a year of being with him that he would have a child in our lives at this point. He deserves to see her but it is making me feel left out. I was his special girl and now I am being put second. It is not like he had her from day 1 of our relationship and I grew accustom to it. Its been about a month since he had contact and now she is staying with him for a week and plans to stay a few times a month from now on.

I guess my question is how do I handle my emotions when a third party enters my cozy party of 2?

Our government is FASCIST. There shouldn't be a drinking age AT ALL. Drinking is COOL anyway. It's all part of growing up, and it helps kids fit in. The government doesn't have the right to tell me what I can do with my body, and neither do my parents. Did you know that Nazi Germany restricted drinking for their citizens?

Also, "drinking and driving" has been scientifically proven to not cause accidents. BAD DRIVERS cause accidents. Good drivers can drive perfectly well after drinking alcohol, because they know the road and how to handle different situations on the road. It's just a scam by our government to collect more fines and get rich. Our founding fathers would be DISGUSTED by the drinking age limit as well as the DUI policy. Don't you think so?
