4 months ago I found out my husband had an internet affair that began when I was 7 months pregnant. I didn't find out til this past June, after I almost died from gallbladder surgery. He tried to justify the affair by saying it was because I stayed in comfortable, pajama type clothes all day and that's not attractive. I think that was a lame assed excuse. I am not fat, sloppy, I DO get dressed everyday but he comes home for lunch and often saw me in loungers. I stay at home with our kids and take care of everything - I have no car of my own and hardly any clothes that fit since I just had another baby. I decided to give him one more chance. He just had a 4 day weekend off and took a shower Friday and went to work, was here with me
Sat -Tue and didn't shower or shave ONCE. He wakes up this morning and shaves, takes a shower and goes to work. What the hell is that? What would you say to him? I am pissed and don't know how to approach the situation. Thanks in advance!

my affair came about bcus i was unhappy, it only lasted for a few months, but then i found out that my husband had had an affair with my best friend when i was pregnant with our first child, we'd only been married for 18months, i'm now messed up, ave got the pressure of this 6month window for divorce, but the kids only see his n their hurt, they cant imagine the hurt that im feeling, or even remember the way that our lives have been bcus He worked so hard to provide, he wasnt very loving towards them until recently. but i feel cheated by him and my then best friend bcus they didnt tell me/give me the choice of what to do with my life back then, they made it for me bcus i was so happy with motherhood after a miscarriage, even with his attitude, i used to just swallow what ever he dished out,
How does 1 move on from this?

My older family member insists that we all come to her home for every Thanksgiving. That means a long ride in snowy cold weather and a late night home trip. I want to cook my own dinner and have a few guests this year so I dont have to travel. Is it fair to be held hostage to tradition when I am an adult that wants to enjoy my own home and family? This has created an uprorar and she is livid about losing control over the holiday. I will not be held hostage by her orders. What do you think folks, ever happen to you?

I have been invited to a wedding and in the invitation was a card stating how many people would be attending and that dinner would be $20.00 a plate and to be sent by a certain date. Is this normal? I have seen this one time before years ago. What do you think?

So I'm 19 and my boyfriend is 25. I'm a sophomore in college and he is salaried and independent.

I've been with him for almost a year now. And while I've been making plans for a master's degree program after college, he is making plans about where we will have our wedding....

He is truly the sweetest person, and treats better than anyone I've ever been with, and I really care about him. But is it wrong for me to feel a little awkward when he's ALWAYS discussing marriage? And not only that, he sort of treats me like I'm already married to him--I don't go out with my friends hardly at all anymore, because he says that married people have only one priority--their spouse. And he's always worried that I might meet another guy when I'm out anywhere, even the mall. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely committed and loyal, but I feel like marriage just seems so soon. He plans to marry me when I'm 21.

Is there anything I can do or say that wouldn't be hurtful to fix this?

I was at a club a few weeks ago (halloween), and apparently I brushed up against this girl I didn't know in a way she didn't like, but instead of a warning I got a swift knee to the groin. Now, the scene was loud and a bit crowded so it went unnoticed, and after a moment I managed to get up, though I was pretty peeved. She had not gone away, so I kicked her in the box and descretely left the club before seeing the results of said revenge.

So my question, how do you feel about the above situation? I am not asking about any legal liabilities, just for general thought on it.

He's not a relative. He's engaged to my ex sister-in-law (their mom) No laws have been broken, so police will not investigate. He also travels to Southeast Asia for "business. " My understanding is that there is a lot of sexual tourism in that region especially for sex with young children. What can I do? She thinks it's perfectly fine.

SHE IS SUPPOSE TO KEEP THE BABY WHEN SHE IS BORN BUT TOLD ME THAT MY HUSBAND CANNOT PICK THE BABY UP BECUASE SHE DOESN'T WANT HIM AT HER HOME. SHE DOESN'T LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE HAS OTHER CHILDREN. HE SUPPORTS HIS CHILDREN AND IS A GOOD FATHER. SHE LISTENS TO PEOPLE WHO KNEW HIM IN THE PAST WHEN HE PARTIED HARD BUT THAT'S ALL CHANGED. WE ARE IN OUR MID 30'S AND SETTLED. SHE IS ALWAYS NEGATIVE WHEN I TALK TO HER. SHE GOSSIPS NON STOP ABOUT HER FRIENDS AND FAMILY. SOMEDAYS IT TAKES EVERYTHING I HAVE TO CALL HER. SHE TREATS ME LIKE CRAP WHENEVER SHE FEELS LIKE IT. SHE IMPOSES JUDGMENT ON EVERYONE. SHE CALLS ME WEAK AND SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE TOOK ME OUT OF HER WILL BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T WANT MY HUSBAND TO SPEND HER MONEY. MY MOTHER IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. I FIND MYSELF BEING VERY PHONY WHEN DEALING WITH HER BECAUSE I FEEL I HAVE TOO. SHE ALSO STATED THAT I CHOOSE MY HUSBAND OVER HER. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT.

He lost his job when he was sick, and is better now, although he hasn't found anything in over a year. Her parents have been supporting them for a year now because they have a new house and her job alone can't carry them. She doesn't want to sell the house because the market is bad, but she's unhappy, and wants my advice. What should i tell her???? i think she feels sorry for him, but she doesn't know if he's just taking advantage of the situation at this point. He has a hard time finding a job because of a felony on his record (one time offender). It was something stupid he did when he was young, but now she is suffering!

I mean, is there ever a time they stop demanding from your husband, even though she's remarried and their kids grown up?

My mom is competitive in everything. I think that because she's that way, she assumes everyone else is as well. For instance, if I were to do a bunch of chores around the house when I was visiting her, she would take that as a challenge to see who is the better Christian. She's especially competitive in relationships. My dad and I are really close but it's so stressful to maintain contact with him because she takes my closeness to him and his closeness to me that as a threat. The thing is, if she didn't, she and I would probably be close too. I don't know if this has anything to do with my mom's competitiveness, but once she yelled at me to stop exercising when she came to my room one night (I was in high school). Anyhow, I'm going home for the holidays and I don't know how to prepare myself to be in that environment again. The last time I went for a visit was after about a half a year on my own. I got really depressed. How can I help it?

I recently (within the past 2 months) started dating a guy. He's 5 years older than me (I'm 25, he's almost 30). He seemed so nice. He'd tell me how pretty I was and all that jazz. He was a little boring to me and too thin, but I looked past that since I liked his personality (his kindness, etc). He's super shy which was a little odd... I'm shy too, but not to the point he is. Well, this guy was the first person I even cared for since I broke up with my ex (broke up with my ex in the summer, it was a year-long relationship and we lived together). After some time, things finally got physical with the new guy. He's not good in bed at all and he's an akward kisser. Well, after the deed had been done (lasting literally like 2 minutes), I was still willing to give him a chance and continue seeing him since he really did seem like a nice guy, but then out of the blue, I catch him searching around on Yahoo personals, so I dumped him. He admitted he was looking around. ..

I'm married and he's married, he flirted with me very strongly but had no other intentions of going further with it. He knows we are both married & that matters to both of us. He has had a thing for me for a long time, came on to me very strong verbally. Then he must have felt guilty cuz everytime we chatted after that he brought up his wife his kids etc. He saw me out with my friends for girls night out and we were having a blast. I never saw him but he saw me. When I have a few drinks I smoke, he must have been shocked to see me smoke and he came up to me a few days later and made a comment asking if I had fun on Friday and then threw in how smoky it was in there. He really needs to just back off already and worry about his wife. I don't know him well enough for him to ask me something like that. I feel like he told me that as almost a slap on the wrist, as to let me know he saw me doing something that he didn't approve of. Should I tell him to mind his own business or not?

clubs in his car and mine are still in the shed. It is or has been tradition that he brings mine around also, I don't mind it it just is very different for him. He has in the past always been excited when we were going golfing or something together, this time he seemed to not want me to go and wanted to go alone...I asked him if he wanted to go with out me and he said "I guess". Then he said, I guess we need some us time. I am just feeling like something is really wrong because our lives are different now....much seperateness even though we are together. He drove 9 1/2 hours round trip to a family memebers funeral and didn't want me to go with him, his ex wife is always on our backs about something, like going to my husbands nephews for a birthday party and she wanted to go and for me to be left home, she doesn't like that I go to the kids games with my husband, so she tried to pick a fight with me, it didn't work but because she did this he doesn't want me

Bride and Groom are both early 40's, she married twice before, he married once before.

In September I attended a "Housewarming/Wedding Shower/Groom Birthday /Toga" Party for the couple.

A housewarming gift was given when Groom purchased the home and was not yet engaged to Bride. Groom acknowledged the gift with a big hug and thank you. Fast foward to the party from hell. I brought a very nice shower gift and put it with the other gifts, so my even bringing it in the first place wasn't acknowledged.

I received the wedding invite a week later with TWO different registery cards in the wedding invite! TACKY.

I haven't received any sort of thank you for the shower gift. They received maybe 10 gifts at the party, so it should have been an easy task.

I'm a little bitter about this and won't short them a wedding gift, but I also don't want to spend $$$ if it's not appreciated! Advice?

Your fiance went away with work for 2 weeks, a month before your wedding?

My fiance regularly works away from home - fine, I accept that. But he told me he would keep the last 2 months before we got married 'free'.

He's now told me he's off to Canada for a week to a conference (his choice, he wasn't made to go) and then he's staying an extra few days to see some family out there.

He has been to this conference every year for the last 5 years and he can probably go again next year.

I was really unhappy when he told me.

Who's being unreasonable here - me or him?!!

Ta.
