My 5 yr old is alittle different his mother died when he just turned 1yrs old. My husband's parent's took the child the very day the mother died. My husband morned for a long time without talking about it until he met me which was 2 yrs after she died. We married then had our 18 month old....The 5 yr old came to live with us after that, that's when the grandparents started....I watched for two yrs not saying nothing, I started going to a doctor to try to deal with not saying anything to the grandparents....my husband wouldnt do anything because he feels he owns them for taking care of my son for 2 yrs. the things they have done are bad and not so bad...when they take the

I text my ex 2 days ago telling him that I was laid off. He hasn't called me back, emailed me, or text me back. I know he isn't that busy.......and I know he has his cell phone on him and that it is working! When he lost her job, I was there for him and made it known. Hell, I even bought him a resume builder and a couple of new outfits for interviewing.

Finding a new job will be easy for me, so I'm really not sweating it. But damn, I am finding out who my true friends are!!

Hi there, i have been married for three years . First of all everything was so perfect but now it feels like i had made the biggest mistake of my life. He's so different and though i had been to counselling so many times, he does not care. It will work for at least a week but then , the old story. He's ok in his own world and it's only me asking for love all the times. He can live without sex forever. He does not care at all.

The good things about him is he does all the household chores. but i need a real man. I don't know what to expect , well i don't expect anything because three years was enough . I need help because i can't go on like that.
I went away for 2 or 3 times, then he will beg me to come promising me that he'll change but he's such a boring person.

Ok, so me and this guy were flirting for a little bit. And he promised me that he would write me a letter. He’s always been a little different and sorta weird, but that only makes me like him more haha. Ok, so he gave me the note and we said bye. I went to my class and opened the note, and all it said, was, “Discern???” Then, I could see that there was letters sorta on the paper. I held it to the light and saw it. It looked like someone took a paper on the note and pressed really hard with his pencil to imprint letters on the paper… do you know what I mean? Do you think he meant, Find out what I mean and find out the letters and blah blah or what?

We're getting married in Pittsburgh next October. We'd like to have the ceremony and the reception in the same place, and we have lots of guests coming from different states, so we would like the place to look nice, i.e. no firehalls. We also have a caterer that we want to use. It seems like all the nice places have their own catering and the inexpensive places where you can BYOB and food are dumps. Internet searches seem to only find the expensive places with boring caterers. Any ideas?

For those of you who are married I have been cooking dinner for my husband almost every night. (We are newlyweds so maybe this will get old after a while lol!) Anyways we are in our 20s and we don't have any kids.
Well i made fajitas one night, this was near the beginning... I used stew beef instead of slicing up steak... I thought it would work fine but of course it was a little tough... When he came home I told him it was not going to be a perfect meal and I told him what was wrong with it. Well practically from the time he sat down he started complaining (while eating by the way). Of course after 15 minutes of this I got upset and told him I was done eating and I was going to study. Well as I walk away he says "...and you didn't cook it right that's why it is tough!" Well I just walked over, calmly and picked up all of the plates off of the table and put them in the refrigerator. He just looked totally stunned and sat there chewing the last horrible bite...

Is it bad to put things like movies on your registry? My finance and I are going to be dirt poor (lol) plus we are having a baby so we won't be able to go out all that much. DVDs would be a really good thing for us to have for when we can't go anywhere. I just wasn't sure if it was a bad idea or not..I'm really new to this stuff.

Am I the only one who thinks it is wrong to have a divorce party? I don't mean a few friends - I mean a huge bash like a bachelorette party - sometimes even with strippers and hooking up with strange guys. It seems (I could be wrong) to be only women who have these.

I understand the sense of relief when the process is finally finished, but the fact is - they are celebrating a DIVORCE. A divorce is the failure of people's love, hopes, and dreams. A failure to make it work. A failure to keep the vows and a failure of your promises of "till death do us part".

It would hurt me terribly if, heaven forbid, my husband and I divorced and he "celebrated" it - celebrated his permanent separation from the woman he held, loved and cherished all those years. I would never do that to him, even if he did awful things to me that caused me to divorce him.

When you are divorcing, yes - you move on. But you do so with wisdom and maturity, I hope, and not spite and resentment.

Agree?

There are a few things that bug me daily, i wake up thinking about them, and during the day on and off, and then at night before bed. How can i get this stuff out of my head, and everytime it comes up I tell myself No, everything will be okay. Don't worry or stress over it but it's still in my head and wont go away. Have you ever thought like this to? What do you do to help yourself get over it and move on with your life so it doesn't drag you down or make your day worse...?

I realize the world has their own problems that are greater than this but I need to get other perspectives. I've been married a few years--my mate has never been able to keep a job. He chooses labor jobs where he won't have to drug test. He smokes pot--since the age of 16 or so. We are in our mid 30's. I've worked at the same job for 10 yrs and don't party. He's depressed over being unemployed but doesn't look hard for a job--he had a few job offers but failed their drug tests. So he's mad at the companies. He won't clean up much or cook--and I don't know how to help him because he's too preoccupied with his habit. Getting pot, smoking it, running out--when he's sober he's very rude and thoughtless and I hate being around him. He also has taken to getting into my pain meds and sedatives--I'm legitimately ill but I think it's really me falling apart after years of this life. I'm loyal but need to look out for myself and my child. How do I extricate myself without hurting him? or help?

I am pregnant and about to quit my job(I had my own account), but I feel like now I should have access to his/OUR money now. He does't understand saying that he will put money in my account when I need it!!! Meanwhile, he goes off and spends money on pretty much anything he wants and lies to me about how much he spent. I have to look for the reciept to expose his lie. I've tried explaining to hime why I need this( to feel secure, to be felt like an equal, to feel like a part of the marriage but he dismisses everthing and says to leave him in charge of the finances. I think he just wants to be able to continue spending money when and where he pleases and not have to answer to nobody. I did not sign up for that when I married his sorry butt. I wonder, in this day and age is it now appropriate for men to treat there wives this way!!! Should I just sit there barefoot and pregnant just hoping that he will spare some change for me to go grocery shopping!!!!! I don't think so!!

Is it true, what I've been told, that young teens, have relationships left over from High School, and that's why so many guys are single because many women are taken and vice versa?

To me, it always appears the girls I like are taken and I'm always told, eventually those girls will be single since many relationships are not long lasting, and around 25 I will see way more single girls.

Is any of this true?

Some facts:
She has a daughter who is 7
Never cheated on me - tells me any and everything I would want to know
Will put the code in the phone anytime I ask and let me see the phone without me giving her any notice
I have never found ANYTHING

Your thoughts please?

Sadly, my looks are plain, while my personality is not. I'm not a superficial person myself, but every man, with whom I have similar interests, is rather attractive and therefore, I feel like i have no chance. I'm not chubby or fat in anyway, but I'm not a 10.
Seriously, every guy who is a film buff, music fanatic, and intelligent is very cute!
I'm very confident about myself in terms of personality and intellect, but I loose every shred of self-esteem because I'm scared I'm not good enough.
Oh and I'm only in college, so looks seem to play a high prememium, leaving kind, playful plain chicks out in the Massachusettes cold (which is lately and freakishly warm: damn climate change!)
So, attractive men, would you date someone who fits you like a glove personality wise, is mature, but not traditionally "hot?"
