My girlfriend keeps a lock on her phone.

Some facts:
She has a daughter who is 7
Never cheated on me - tells me any and everything I would want to know
Will put the code in the phone anytime I ask and let me see the phone without me giving her any notice
I have never found ANYTHING

Your thoughts please?

thoughts about what? you have a girlfriend and she doesnt hide anything from you. Now whats the problem? People lock the phone so you dont accidently call someone.Trust me, Ive done it 1000 times. Also if she loses it, she wont rack up a $300.00 phone bill from someone who downloaded tons of ringtones on her phone and the company doesnt care and says it's her problem. It happend to my friend did when his was stolen from his car. AND he even reported it stolen

She could be locking it because of her daughter. My 8 year old gets into my phone goes wild deleting things and calling people. It could be as simple as a habit because of parenting. She's probably not hiding anything. Bring it up in a casual conversation and ask her about it. Don't do it in a jealous manner, just ask her when she unlocks it next time. Just laugh it off and say, "why do you lock it anyways?" Good luck..

I have a lock on my phone and I am not cheating on my husband at all. I lock because I have naked photos and videos of him and I on there. She may not want her 7 yr old daughter to touch her phone. Also its a security that if she loses it the person that finds it can't get any vital info.

Why does it bother you? You obviously don't trust her if you ask her at random times to see her phone. Maybe she has it locked so her daughter doesn't get it and run up the phone bill, or so she doesn't accidentally dial a number while it's in her purse. If you don't trust her, end it because you're going to break her heart.

If she lets you see it anytime you ask what is your problem. Maybe she locks it to keep the 7 year old from making calls or so it doesn't accidentally dial people while in her pocket or purse. You sound insecure to me and need to let it go it this is the only problem you have with her.

Sounds like she's open and honest with you.

My bet is that the lock on the phone is to keep her daughter from picking up the phone and placing calls.

She has the lock on it because of her daughter. This makes sure she is not making calls on it. Cell phones get expensive if the minutes are used. It also helps in case of theft. You need not worry about anything. You need to trust her more. She sounds very trustworthy to me. Forget about it!

Im not sure what the question is but maybe she has a lock on it because she dosent want her daughter phoning people on it... some people prefer privacy, even though they have nothing to hide

What is the problem? I can understand the lock with a 7 year old. My little cherub dialed a call through to JAPAN once. Loved that phone bill!

If she is open with you, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Maybe she keeps it locked for other reasons such as just in case it gets stolen or something happens to it. Ya know some people like to steal and be nosy. But, at least she lets you check her phone my HUSBAND won't even let me check his voice mail. Without his permission.
