Let's say a guy named Mike is attracted
to a woman named Lisa. He asks her out to a movie; she accepts;
they have a pretty good time. A few nights later he asks her
out to dinner, and again they enjoy themselves.
They continue to see each other regularly,
and after a while neither one of them is seeing anybody else.
And then, one evening when they're driving home, a
thought occurs to Lisa, and, without really thinking, she says it aloud:
"Do you realise that, as of tonight, we've been
seeing each other for exactly six months?"
And then there is silence in the car. To Lisa, it seems like
a very loud silence.
She thinks to herself: Jeez, I wonder
if it bothers him that I said that. Maybe he's been feeling
confined by our relationship; maybe he thinks I'm
trying to push him into some kind of obligation that he doesn't
want, or isn't sure of.
And Mike is thinking: Gosh. Six months.

My husband and I have had a pretty rocky relationship. We have been married for 8 years and have 2 daughters together.
Today, I pretty much reached boiling point and suggested for the first time that we should divorce and I would move back home (5000 miles away).
I expected to hear something like "No, you can't do that. I love you, etc." All I heard was "No, you can't do that to the kids. Just try it, because I'm not going to let you do that (in a threatening manner)". I said "It doesn't make any difference because we don't have a relationship anyways." (we haven't been intimate in 5 months...HIS choice.) He didn't even offer a reply to that.
Now, I am left sitting here wondering if there is anything left to salvage? I still love him a lot but, I know I can't change him and I kind of doubt he loves me. I think he is only in it for the children. I don't want to stick around someplace where someone doesn't really love me. What do you think? Advice please? Thanks!

I have two women I've been friends with since high school, who were also friends themselves up until 2 years ago when they had a fall out. Friend A confided in someone that friend B's husband had hit on her. Even though friend B's husband has a history of being unfathful, for some reason she refuses to believe the other woman and has wiped her, saying she made it up to cause trouble. I think she knows deep down it is true, and it's easier to cut her friend out, than it is to divorce her husband. In the last few months I've grown closer to the 'wiped' friend and my other girlfriend has become jealous and cranky with me. She will throw a tantrum and refuse to come into my house if the other woman is there, and I feel like I'm in the middle.

I really don't feel like I want to make a choice between them, but I feel I'm being forced. What would you do? If you decided to stay friends with both, how would you justify it to your angry friend? Hope this all made sense :)

We have been dating for a week, and I feel he expresses his interest in me on our dates, however, there are no follow-up phone calls the day after, neither has he made an effort to talk to me online. Though he calls only when he wants to arrange our next meeting. I want to talk to him everyday to get to know him better. However, I am also confused that why he doesn't try to talk to me everyday?I feel it is so simple. Just pick the phone and ask about my day or something. I don't know if he is thinking about me. Suggestions?

My husband and I are having marital issues and for about two months he hasn't say a word to me, but don't have a legal separation yet and I am expecting a baby, due in March. I know that he re-enlisted and that recently he received orders to possibly go to Iraq very soon. Do I have the right of calling or seeing his command to find out when he is going and for how long???

I 've always done what I was told. I love to make people happy. But I'm starting to realize that what I thought made me happy never really was there. I'm passionate about things my other half doesn't care about or has know interest in. SO I try really hard to do what makes him and others happy. And push what I want aside. That was working so I thought. But now I ve found somone that turly lights those passions in me . Only I can never speak of it. So that person will never know how happy they make me. I'm to afaid to dissplease or hurt anyone. SO HOW DO I DEAL WITH THIS AND MAKE IT ALL GO AWAY? Please help!

My husband and I are going through a rough time because of the affair he had. His mistress is still living in the apartment that is in his name (he's at home now). We are trying to get through all of this.

He is away on business right now and we talked last night. I asked him what he is planning on doing with his apartment and how he feels about everything. He said that he hasn't had time to think about things because he is so busy at work. How can he not think about things? I wake up every morning and can't stop thinking all day. What does this mean?

My friend who I care about just told me she is crying because she doesn't know how to use MS excel and the assessment is due tomorrow. To be honest I think its her fault a little since she left it to the last minute but what should I say to comfort her. I was thinking something like you feeling better now and I'll help you tomorrow if you still need help ? I just don't wanna say anything selfish because I've been told that I sometimes do....

met the most amazing man over the internet from another country last June. He is the best man i have ever been with in my life. I would do anything for him. I moved to him to be with him 4 months ago and everything has been great. but the last few weeks have been really stressful and i just need some advice. His past relationships have not been the greatest. He has had women lie and cheat and steal from him. He tells me that i am the best thing to happen to him. He even wants to marry me. But he always seems to think that i am cheating on him, or sneaking around behind his back with things. says there are always coincidences to make him feel this way. i try to convince him. tell him everything i can to reassure that he is the only one for me, but it doesn't seem to be working. says he is afraid to lose me. fights with me all the time thinking i am a cheater. what do i do? i can't leave him. i have to work through it. i love him too much. never give up. any ideas to gain his trust?

Any thoughts?

can a relationship, which started out as adulterous, in the end, be blessed?
to explain.... husband and wife have a LOT of problems. both of them know there is no "marriage" left, but they stay together for the sakes of the kids. she ends up having a lesbian relationship, and he ends up with a mistress he ultimately falls in love with. after several months, the mistress walks away, knowing that she cannot be the reason they get divorced.
time passes... after a year and a half, husband and wife get divorced. another year goes by, and the man and mistress reunite and soon marry, even tho they have not spoken to each other since she walked away, and are the happiest and the most in love they have ever been... the (ex)wife has been with her girlfriend straight thru, even to this day.
could their separation be the price the man and mistress had to pay to ultimately be happy and share an amazing love together? is it possible for this marriage to truly be blessed in the eyes of God?
