You're absolutely right! It's not so much your wife can't be trusted, it's the guys that would be the ones seeing how far they could take it. And if a husband allows male friends, guys think that's a green light to go for it. Now that you're married, it's best to have couples as friends-or at least both your wife and you present when single friends are around.

First of all, you need to reconsider the use of the word allowed. Secondly, don't put it on your wife that YOU had sex with married women in the past. She didn't do it, and by saying she shouldn't be "allowed" to have guy friends is saying she is in the same category of those women YOU were with previously. You are on a collision course with this marriage if you don't get your thinking in line. Sounds like you don't trust your wife or is it that you don't trust yourself?

Don't judge your wife on your standards. Most people have respect for the sanctity of marriage and I'm sure that she does too. If you try to tell her who she can and can't be friends with it will only breed resentment and could actually drive her away and perhaps into the arms of another man. Why don't you concentrate on building the companionship between you both instead of fighting over school yard b--sh--t

Yeah, maybe your wife has a bit more self-restraint than you do, did you not think of that? Just because you have shoddy moral standards doesn't necessarily mean that she is the same. And don't ever talk about 'allowing' your wife anything, not if you want her to remain your wife.

I don't think you should say "allowed" to have them. You are not her boss. But I do agree. I don't think a married man needs female friends. And that goes both ways. I don't try having any guy friends. Which sucks, because I have always gotten along better with males than females. But forsaking all others means EVERYBODY.

I agree with you, when you are married and start hanging around the opposite sex as friends, it can easily turn into more then friends. So why even take that risk.

do you think every guy out there is like you ...... ????? respect your wifes individuality, respect her for who you married ... you trusted her then right.... love , trust and respect are the basis of marriage..... don't you have this,?????,, cos you don't want female friends by your own choice.... so please don't decide for your wife...

In general NO, because people will start to talk, and your huspband (if it's like that) will be jelaous, so it's no really good for you to walk alone with other man.

you're right. There are no "guy friends" only guy friends that will **** your wife if they get the chance.
