I text my ex 2 days ago telling him that I was laid off. He hasn't called me back, emailed me, or text me back. I know he isn't that busy.......and I know he has his cell phone on him and that it is working! When he lost her job, I was there for him and made it known. Hell, I even bought him a resume builder and a couple of new outfits for interviewing.
Finding a new job will be easy for me, so I'm really not sweating it. But damn, I am finding out who my true friends are!!

when we are down and out we do find out who cares for us and who doesn't. u can be there for them through thick and thin but the minute u need anything they aren't available even for moral support. u understandably feel let down but just because your there for others doesn't mean they will be there for u. just learn by this and go on with life, a little bit smarter and wiser.

Your ex obviously does not care and is not that into you as you were with him. This is probably the reason he is an ex. Sorry for your job lost. This can be a trying time, surround yourself with friends and family who really care about you.

Maybe he no longer wants to be friends with you. It is very awkward especially when the other half moved on with thier life. He was ok to take the things you did for him and you just need to chalk this one up as a lesson being learned. I think you still have feelings for this man and want more out of him then what you are willing to admit.

hmm....he's your ex for a reason right?! he's moved onto the doesn't care what's going on in your life, go ahead and live it without him phase.
you're not trying to find out who your true friends are, you're trying to find out if you mean anything to him still because you haven't let go and moved on.

He's your ex. Maybe he doesn't know what to do to help you. Maybe he feels badly for you but is busy with his own life. You need to let go.

he's an ex for a reason and response to you is that he wants to stay that way. Accept it and move on.

I think generally it is hard to remain "true friends" with your ex...maybe he has a new gf and doesn't want to tick her off.

He obviously does not want to be "friends" with you. Maybe this was his official way out.
