I am going to be honest. I'm intelligent and well read for my age...for any age actually.

I can tell you about the fauna of the taiga, discuss Nietzsche and know something about every country in the world but...I dont know who I am.

I dont know what my opinions are as I keep agreeing with other people, I'm not assertive, I don't know how to make small talk and I don't know who I am. Everybody around me seems so confident and so outspoken but I feel like part of the furniture.

How can I be 21 and still not know who I am. It hurts.

I am totally in love with my boyfriend. At least thats how it feels...95 % of the time. The other 5 % is spent thinking about my best friend back in Texas (i'm about 1000 miles away from him now). My boyfriend and I have been together for a while now, and he is expressing some desire to get married and have a family with me...That is ALL i have ever wanted in life...here comes the BUT... I have a best friend in Texas, who has never been more than JUST a friend. Since I moved away from him, i can't stop thinking about him. I feel like I've fallen in love with him... we've known each other for about 7 years, we grew up together, even joked about getting married and having kids. I've never had a relationship with anyone like the one i have with him...and i'm afraid i never will with anyone else...problem is, i am crazy about my boyfriend too, and i love him more than anything in the world...i just get along with the TX man better....what should i be doing? any ideas?

He and I aren't like a couple anymore. He embarasses me in front of his friends (telling me what to do, yelling sometimes etc). I don't feel attracted to him, and he doesn't take my concerns seriously. If something bothers me (like his rudeness towards me).. he'll bring up something miniscule.

What should I do? His lack of regards for me make me want to leave the country and get citizenship some where else.

What is her problem? I'm 18 and in college but she still treats me like a child. I love her but she's really bugging me. She gets mad when I come home late from parties and when I'm drunk. And she's telling me my boyfriend is no good for me just cause he got a DUI and is in jail right now. Plus she gets mad when I have my friends over and she stoops through my things like I'm still in high school or something. Then tells me I'm a bad influence on my younger sisters who are 16 and 13. Why doesn't she realize that I'm grown and I can do what I want?

For some reason to me, it seems like my boyfriend doesnt want peple knowing we are back together. We were split up for about a month and a half, but have been back together for about 2 and a half weeks now.
I don't know whats making me feel this way and I can't seem to shake it. I don't think he's really given me a reason to even think this.
I mean it is obvious that we are back together and people do know.
I just dont know whats going on with me. what can I do?
or what do you think?

I really want a serious relationship but then freak out if a guy shows interest in me. Whenever I go out with a guy i'll make a list of reasons (in my head) why he's not the right guy for me... then afterwards if anyone asks how the date went or whatever, I'll tell them that it's not going to happen and rattle off the list of things I've thought of.

If the guy then calls and acts interested I'll stop answering his calls, won't reply to his messages, etc. I just generally ignore him. But if he doesn't call and when I do catch up with him if he acts uninterested I then spend my time trying to "get" him, but as soon as he's interested I'll ignore him as well.

Does anyone have any reasons for why I would do this? I hate it and want to have a normal relationship but I'll do it without even realising until someone else points out that I've done it again. I'm terrified of being like my mother who was always in relationships with unavailable men, either emotionally or physically.

I am asking this because I think my boyfriend has turned into a slob. I do not feel like his mother and do not want to have to tell him to wash it, so what to do.
I just wonder if its me because I have a very sensitive odor receptor in my nose or is he a pig.
How often do you shower and do you shower before sex to please your woman or just leave that thing all nasty?
Do most men realize when a penis is not washed it smells?

It seems like the only guys that I attract are married or complete jerks. And the ones that I'm attracted to are out of my leauge or else there bad boys. By bad boys I mean the kind that are always in trouble or are sweethearts one minute then complete a*******s the next. Is there something wrong with me? What causes love? I need to know why love is so painful at times? Why do people fall in love so fast, and I am messing with three girls and they don't know about each other. The one I really love is far away so I have two other girls that are close to me, Why do I need to do this? Is it because I need attention?

My son and I moved in with my mom after my dad died. But she is driving us f%$*^% crazy. Itought this would help her and us but it only seems to make things worse. Have anyone been in this situation and what would be the best choice? We are getting ready to move in a couple of weeks.

Maybe taken from personal experience?

(my friend and me were wondering about the best way to get that type of point across; only for a guy who'd deserve it of course)

My boyfriend and I have been together a year and a half, and he is my 4th serious relationship, but I'm his first... When he and I first started dating it was different from all the others; I just "knew" he was the one! Now, a year later we are seriously considering getting engaged in the Spring. He and I have the same goals, interests, and enjoy the same activities, yet are pleasantly different, in a way I like. My problem is that as of late he has been getting on my nerves (we are currently long distance while I'm still in school). When I go there, we are fine, but when he comes here to stay with me and my 2 roomates he acts different, almost like he's trying to "show-off" and prove he isn't "whipped." It's little things that will get on my nerves like how he'll put his arm around me on the couch infront of everyone when I'm not in the mood to be touched and don't like to make my roomies feel uncomfortable. Is this normal or is this a sign? Because other than that he is A-Mazing!

He stole the battery of my out-of-sevice phone, but i use the extra features. He said that he hated the alarm.

I make a little extra noise, he yells at me and starts punching me.

He hid my school stuff on the day that I needed the day and I had to look for it and ended up missing the bus (luckily mum was home to give me a ride).

He is an all around jerk. I'm usually minding my own business when he randomly lunges at me and starts wrestling. My life is becoming a Jerry Springer "Too Hot For TV" DVD.

I don't know if I'll need to start carrying a taser around with me,
If i have to stab him, or kill myself. Because if is suggest therapy to my parents, I'm afraid my brother will beat me.

This is serious people so don't give me stupid answers.

What should I do?

My fiance and love each other we compliment each other wonderfully. The only thing we don't see perfectly eye to eye on is religion. He calls himself an Existentialist, which is different from Agnostic. My boyfriend is a truely amazing testament to God's grace, as he's been through many horrifying incidents; but I can see why he would question the existence of a loving God when so many awful things have happened to him. I was very honest from the beginning, telling him my physical limits and morals; he's never tried to overstep them once. I told him when we first talked about marriage that it was important that I have a Christian ceremony, and raise my children to be Christian (Or take them to Temple, as he's culturally Jewish). He agreed wholeheartedly; he's even attended church with me multiple times. I believe interfaith marriages are possible, but they are challenging, and most people would rather avoid the extra stress than deal with the extra dynamics. Any opinions?

One of my daughters is 23 years old now and since she was a teenager she has marched to the beat of a different drummer. I have always tried to be there for her even if I disagreed inside with the decisions that she was making. (She wasn't into drugs.) But for her, happiness was always just around the next corner... with the next job... or the next boyfriend, or the next opportunity, etc. She has had quite a few of each of them. She has never been able to just be happy. She has been very up or very down. We've tried to get her to counseling, but she doesn't think she needs it. I have always tried to be supportive and positive and be a loving mom and a good example. Now she has broken all ties with her family and moved to a big unfamiliar city 300 miles away from us about two weeks ago - without telling us. We found out by looking at her myspace. She won't communicate with me. I fear that something bad is going to happen to her. My heart is breaking. What should I do?
