My little sister is 15 years old. She wants to go to technical school instead of highschool. On the other hand, my parents want her to go to high school and college.

Today my father asked me to talk and convince my little sister to go to high school and college. I feel weird, but somehow I did. I believe she need college education to get a good job.

Are we doing the right thing? Should we allow a 15-years old pick her own paths?

Thank you

We have been wanting to go run together so how does this sound:
We go for a run at a park and then maybe walk for a little bit and/or shoot hoops(we both like basketball), then go out someplace for lunch. do you think that it sounds like a good idea?

Tomorrow is my daughter's 4th birthday and I want it to go over well. Although I have to work, I am sending in party favors and cupcakes for her daycare class to celebrate with and then I am taking her out to dinner with my family to celebrate. My ex-husband wants to either stop by my home before I go out to dinner and give her the gifts he bought her or stop by where we are having dinner to do it but I really don't want to see him. I know it is selfish but already this week he never showed up to pick her up at our meeting spot (claimed to have but that was about a half an hour after I was to be at work) and then when he eventually called never even offered to come pick her up ( I ended up taking the day off to spend with her bc I didn't want her to be dropped off at daycare after thinking she was spending the day with him so I spent it with her) and also bc it is very awkward bc well he will most likely be stopping by with his gf who I have found out he is cheating on...

Me and my wife have been together for 8 yrs. For most of them we had sex 2-3 times a day (on average). But since the birth of our son (19 months), it has been 2-3 times a month. I already do all the nice stuff (because I want to), so answers like "clean", "compliment", "back rubs", etc. will not work, she won't even let me give her back rubs anymore. Also, oral is a problem now, she used to do it fairly often, but in the past year in a half, it's been 1 time, and that 1 time was really quick and had no love in it. If someone could please help, anything that can get her going. Thank you.

Ok.
We have been married 3 years and have a 2 1/2 year old.
Kinda hard to go do stuff that's fun like dating and hobbies.
Anyway, not a problem for my husband. He always finds a way to have fun. He has a lot of friends and goes to watch football at a bar all day on sundays. He'll go camping and out with his friends.
I don't do that much. I don't really have many friends. I'm more of a homebody. That's my choice.
HOWEVER, I may want to go out about once every 6 months. like last night I went out for my sister's bday. My husband gave me a curfew and we got into a big fight over it. He didn't even want me to go. ANd, this morning he didn't even ask how it went. HE totally ignored me. So, I said aren't you gonna ask if I had fun? he said no. I said you don't care. He said no.
SO, my question is why is he such a jerk about it? Shouldn't he want me to have fun and enjoy myself since I never do. I mean I ask if his team won, and who was there and I listen to everything he has to say.

She will be 18 in 2 weeks and feels that she should be able to decide who she wants to date. The problem is, this boy was recently released from jail for breaking and entering, hasn't graduated and has no future as far as I can see. My daughter is a good girl, going to college and I hate for her to ruin her future by being with a loser like him. She says that since her father and I divorced and remarried, she feels she doesn't belong anywhere and this boy understands her. We have both given her everything and don't understand why she says she feels like this. I am going to take her to counseling to talk about the divorce, but for now, is it wrong of me to tell her she can not see this kid? She thinks I am unfair. She says he is different now and doesn't do bad things anymore. I just would like an opinion from someone neutral.

After my wife and I had a two week split in January, I went back to her, because there was change in both of us. After about a month she started back to her old ways of complaining about everything. I go to work, come home, cook diner and check the kids homework. Here complaining got worse and worse over the next six months. It got to the point of her hitting me and pulling my hair just because I was smoking. She knew I smoked since we were dating. She then throws me out. So I left. And now she is blowing up my phone begging me back. When I say give me time, she yells and screams, and says stuff about me easly being replaced. Its not easy leaving a four year relationship, but should I go back to her even though I know it's going to go back to the yelling and screaming? Thanks

My mother has been homeless for a few years, jumping from place to place. 2 months will go by that I haven't heard form her, then she will call me with a sob story asking for money. I cannot let her stay with me, because she has proven herself untrustworthy and she hangs around people that I do not want knowing where I live. She provided me with a great childhood and i love her so much. I have helped her financially so much that I am now in major credit card debt and have been trying to unbury myself for a while now; I still have a ways to go. Shoud I continue to help her, all the while hurting myself or should I stand up and tell her that she needs to help herself first. The problem is, when I say no, I can't bear the thought of her on the streets and desperate for help.

Myself and my husband do not struggle financially. The problem is my parents know this and always ask us for money and to use our credit cards for purchases on the internet. I have never said no to my parents, therefore i have created a big problem. My dad called the other day asking to charge 300.00 dollars to my credit card and supposedly my mom would pay me back. My mother has never paid me back a dime for anything. I flat out refused my dad and I haven't heard from them since it's been 2 days. Did I do the right thing and how do I get myself out of being used for a bank?

It's the deal with my mama. I'm 27 and she still wants to give me advice. I'm sick of being stuck on stupid because of her. I want to get a good job, get a car of my own, and move out. She is so cowardly she told me that I'm wasting my time going to college, in which I'm taking online.
I've recovered from my sickness of epilepsy. She tells me that I'd be a fool if I get cut of from getting a disability check, but that little money isn't enough. She says that I'm stingy with my money because I'm saving it for myself and not giving some to her and my sis, but I be straight up and say "I don't have a job and I'm saving it for my future". I want to put my foot down. She's like no other mama, weird. She tells me what I could do to make money and puts me down at the same time. I need to get my space. Instead of being encouraging, she puts me down.
My man advises me to stop letting her talk me out of my dreams. He's the most encouraging man I've ever had.

I'm wondering if $40 seems like a decent wedding gift. I'm a bridesmaid and I've already spent over $350 on the wedding shower, bachelorette party, dress, shoes, etc. I work 2 jobs and am applying to grad school. Deos $40 seem stingy???

Thanks!

In high school I was an overweight nerd who wore glasses but as I went to college I became the man. I used the weight room to get big toned muscles and even got so good at what I do that I made my division 1 college football team as a walk on. Some of those same girls who teased me in high school now wants me and I reject their offer every single time?

My boyfriend and I have dated for over 5 years now. We started dating in high school and dated through college. I graduated this past May and he graduates this December. We did kind of live together; we shared a four bedroom house for three years with other roommates but had separate bedrooms in college. Since graduation I have gotten a job and am living by myself. We did great sharing a house together and worked through a lot of big issues (money in particular). I wanted to live on my own for myself; something I never wanted to look back on and say I didn't do.

We've now hit a crossroads; do we move in together once he gets a job this January? Do we get engaged first? Is 23 too young to be engaged? Should we just keep living separate for another year or so? We both always wanted to get married at 25, but its starting to feel like we're being absurd discounting getting married at 24 for the sake of being married at 25. Any advice? Thank you all for any help you can give!

My husband and I have been married for 5 years. No kids involved. After the first year of marriage, he started to act weird, avoiding sex with me, always with a headache or complaining about pain. We always talk about this subject and he says he just don't enjoy having sex. He said it was like that with his ex-girlfriends too. He gets all mad when we talk about it, sometimes being rude and showing dangerous behavior. In the other hand, he is my best friend, supportive and loving husband. I am lost :( Please help.

put up with in my relationship.
been married over 4 yrs, together over 5. Things were great in the beginning but have deteriated over time. I feel no support, get no support either emotional, mental or physical (financial)
I more than "earn my keep" around the house as I do everything here, I am the housekeeper, laundress, gardener, cook, secretary, security guard and organizer of his life. In return I get a roof over my head, thrift store clothes and money to buy groceries so I can cook dinner for him every night. I am left alone all day, cannot afford to go anywhere as I get no money to spend on myself. I dont have friends, the ones I had before I got married are afraid to come down to where I live now (city with crime). I am studying for a degree now and hope that I can get work after I am done. The husband ignores me for the most part, unless he needs me to do something for him and that is depressing. I feel used, abused and taken advantage of. Problem? I still love him!
