i have two friends ive been knowing for the past 3 years their both related to each other, but the problem is when im by myself with one they act pretty cool but when im around both of them they also seem to find something to critique me about. i dont really hang with them too much but for example my hair wasnt done but it didnt look bad they both had to say something about it and they wonder why i dont answer my phone half of the time!

Well it is obvious that they talk about you behind your back and in front of you. They are related to each other so you must be aware that blood is thicker than water, step off from them because they don't treat you right. If they make you uncomfortable it would just make sense, not to confront them in an aggessive way, but kind of ease out of their lives and seek friends that accept you, and if someone should offer you constructive criticism, thats good, but a real friend offers help.

maybe they are caddy and tell you what you want to hear but when the two of them get together in your presence their true selves surface. Or perhaps they are both just insecure people and have to use you to pick on to make themselves feel better about them. Either way it sounds like those 2 have issues. Just be yourself and it they cannot accept you for you, then move on as you are better off without them because they really aren't your friends. Good luck to you!

Life is hard enough without having to put up with unnecessary criticism from "friends".

Don't hang around them together. They are teaming up against you.

If you really like them individually, talk to each of them letting them know you feel they are too critical when they are together. If they are offended, they are not truly your friends.

may i suggest either get new friends, or just simply talk to them about your concerns, your friends, and if they take it up the booty, well tell them that you dont need anyone critiquing you about how you look, what you do, who you are in general! tell them that how you live is what makes you, you and if they dont like it then your not as good of friends as you thought! Good luck!

I think it's time to find some new friends my friend! They obviously dont respect you very much. From experience, a true friend doesn't keep nagging at you just so they can get-off on it. Sorry 'bout you're luck!

The think your beneath them when there together and you have to look better if your going to be around other family members so the family members can judge you appropriately.

In other word, They really care about their friends.

Well, maybe they are jealous of you. Because sometimes people get really jealous of you, and they insult you. But, I think that you should just talk to them. (Since you have been knowing them for three years) and just tell them that it really hurts for someone to insult you,( especially friends), and if they keep on insulting you they are not your "real friends". I hope that I helped, and I hope everything works out between you and your friends. :)

You call them friends? Do not expect too much from them. Until something bad happens to you, you never know who is true your friend.

maybe its time to rethink being friends with them at all. no one should make you feel bad especially a friend....but i would confront them about it too and let them know whats up before breaking things off...if they don't get it than they aren't very good friends at all and you know what to do...but if they understand your point of view and actually change than its worth the effort.
