Question should be, "How much is your marriage worth?"

It should be whatever it takes to keep and maintain your marriage, is what it needs to be.

Of course, shopping around for the best bang for the buck is an obvious thing, it is not the entire focus. The particular counselor is very, very important. In many cases, counselors will work with you.

That all depends on where you choose to go and what is in your budget. Some places (a lot of churches) offer free counseling, other places you'll have to pay A LOT!
Call a local church and see if they've got anything.

that depends upon where you go. If you are a member of some churches it may be free but if you are having a problem getting the money for the counseling you may be able perhaps to go to social services and see if they can help you get the counseling.

It can be based on your income and or something you might hear is Sliding scale. So lets say you make $20k a year, so they might only charge you $10 bucks a visit. Make sure to ask about sliding scales.

depends where you go...many times you can find counselors who work on a sliding scale, (they charge according to your income)
if there is a church nearby or if you attend one, they would probably be able to point you towards those types of counselors. but basically call around and see who works on a sliding scale.
