Let's say you didn't have hardly any friends at all, you have no connections, not much close friends, there are not much people you hang with, etc... you are just socially disconnected you are as lonely as the planet Pluto. Where are the places that you would go to try and meet women?

Ok so I have posted lost of questions about this guy and ya'll are pretty rough....most answers are "forget the loser piece of crap"and things like that. Here's the deal in a nutshell....he's my ex, I am recently remarried, my ex and I share a 16mo old boy and he is a severe alchoholic and pot smoker. He has done terrible things to me and hasn't really been a part of my son's life, but I still care about him and I want to help him. I am a Christian and I believe in forgiveness and helping others. He is still the bio father of my son. My new husband is wonderful and yes it is dangerous to allow this man to get too close to me, but he reaches out and he honestly has NOONE else who cares....most think of him the way you guys do and rightfully so, but doesn't everyone deserve a chance? Is there anything realistic I can do to help him. He is drinking 3 - 5 nites a week HARD and depressed deeply, he raises 3 of his 5 children but mine isn't one of them. Yes he is a mess, can I help?

My bf was scammed by some guy on the street the other day and since then he's been more nice to me than usual and is doing more for me.
Usually he won't eat a meal unlees I cook it for him and won't do anything that is not going to to directly benefit him. (Don't even get me started on the trash)
Is this a phase or was that incident what he needed to experience to see the err of his ways? It happened 3 days ago and he is still upset about it.

I'd had a bad day with my family and was feeling low. My bf picked up on it when we were lying in bed and asked me what was wrong and offered to give me a hug. So I started explaining what my crazy uncle had done and how bad I felt, I hadn't been talking that long at all when I asked him something and he didn't respond. He'd fallen asleep! I poked him and eventually he woke up. I was really hurt. He apologised and turned on the light, but I don't knwo what this means. Doe she just not care about me at all? Why would you ask someone to tell you something and then fall asleep while they're telling you!?

I have been with my husband eleven years, married only one year. I am starting to regret the fact that I got married. I can not get him to pay me any attention. We do not spend any time together has a couple. We are force to spent less time together because I work during the day and he work at night. When the weekend come we sit in to different rooms watching tv waiting on the other to make the first move. I need help or suggestions on how to get my husband to pay more attention then the tv.

My fiancees grandfather is 93, and talks openly about how he is old and expects to die fairly soon.
We have begun to plan our wedding, and are saving to pay ourselves, however Gramp has offered us a little bit of money to help because he wants to be at the wedding, and is worried if we have to save too long he may pass away before the big day.
The earlier we get married, the less money we will have saved to have everything we dreamed of. But if we leave it longer, save more, it may be too late for Gramp.

Of course we want him there, but a wedding is a one-off and should be so special and everything we ever wanted.

Its a toughy, I hate to talk or think about his dying, but he is very realistic and only wants to see us settled down and happy, which I can fully understand.

I'm 18 and have been having regular sex with my families local GP for a few months now.We met at a nightclub and decided to start a relationship.I've always found older men more attractive(he's 34 so not that old hehe).He is the Doctor of my brother,Mum and Dad but my Doctor is a lady doctor from the same practice.My brother had a lo wrong with him so has to see him reguarly.
I don't know what it is but I've started to fell a bit icky about the whole thing and I don't know why.He's not my Doctor,he's not married I don't think but for some reason I just feels it's wrong.Maybe because he won't let me tell my parents about us?
What I really wanted to know however is,is what we're doing legal? I heard you can't have sex with a Doctor or something? Thanks xxx

How many of you would "settle" for something thats just OK in a relationship, because of circumstances? How many of you would NOT settle, because they want to have that TRUE LOVE? we have been married for 8 yrs. have 2 children, 1st grade and kindergarden. we have a full time nanny... so wife has no excuse that she is tired all the time from taking care of kids. Why get embarrassed when one of your ex's friends sees you together with the "other" person? The divorce is final - you and your ex now lead separate lives - your kids are adjusting as best they can. Why be embarrassed? If you were the "other" person - how would you feel?

I have been with my husband for almost eight years, since I was 15, we have a wonderful son who I adore, I love my son and my husband more than anything even though we do fight quite a bit, just about everyday things like money and family, we always get through everything, for the past few months Ive been having dreams about him leaving and me being with another man and usually its this guy I have not seen in years that I used to have a huge crush on... I do sometimes have feelings like would we both be happier apart considering neither one of us has ever really been in another serious relationship, I just dont know, anyone been in this same type of situation, what did you do, just suppress these feelings and move on, if you decided to split, were you happier in the end? any thoughts are appreciated!

Um..ok this is weird for me as to i don't normally ask this kinda stuff. It is normal to become "frustrated" and well "bit*hy" due to lack of sex? Also, i don't like to "start" it with my husband i want him to do the initiating and he said he is shy doing that because he never knows when i want to..ect ect. He has been asking me what was wrong the past few days and i would just say nothing because i don't want to "ask" for it. But i hinted about it this morning that that may be why i am frustrated. What is the deal with jealousy and insecurity these days? I have recently dealt with friends of mine having double standards concerning FRIENDSHIPS with other people. I believe it is healthy to maintain and create friendships, regardless of gender, for the purposes of support, fun, etc in work, day to day, and personal life.

Now, how is it fair for somebody to say they have have those friendships, but their spouse can't? Keep in mind, these are in no way romantic. Also, if you are somehow worried that they will BECOME that way, what are you doing to help feed and maintain your own relationship to prevent any chance of that happening? Saying that your spouse cannot have any friends of a certain gender just sounds petty and jealous.

I guess what I'm asking is do you think that it's normal and okay to let jealousy and insecurity control your life? When you consider it, people *choose* to stray or to be together, or that's how it should be. You aren't required to accept an advance.

I still love my wife I think. I mean she was nasty to me, abusive, is being difficult through this divorce. I guess i remember marrying her and loving her. It's hard to forget how in love i was with her. I guess i'm hoping that person will return not the nasty one that has caused me so much pain. However i do realize i still love the woman i married but there's nothing i can do until she wants to try since she's the one that left (even though she's claiming i kicked her out and is lying). i tried dating other people but her and i knew each other like the back of our hands. What should i do? some days i'm weak and want to contact her but with all the legal stuff going on and how nasty this woman has become, i don't think that's a good idea. my lawyer says given her impulsiveness leave her alone but i want to tell her i still love her but i haven't had any contact from her. I'm realizing while dating other women that i still love her. help?

Specifically; if someone cheated on their wife / husband, and was forgiven, would there still be scriptural grounds for divorce if the couple at a LATER point wanted a divorce but neither had cheated at that particular time?

Also, a secondary question, since the only scriptural grounds for divorce is adultery, would a person be reproved in any way if they divorced someone that was very violent towards them?
