I think you look nice. You have an honest avatar. In other words, you kind of look like your avatar. I try to do that too.
Oh, and another thing. The only reason someone would say that you are really ugly is because they want to make their selves feel better about their own looks. That is the sole reason anyone digs on another person, they need to uplift themselves. Besides, you have writing talent. What do they have on you? Nothing!

Understand that some people are UGLY inside. They try to bring other people down. It does not matter what the reason! You have to be happy with you and don't worry about what other people say.

You are far from being ugly but you made yourself ugly by trusting this "someone".
