I've gotten used to it. Yes, it's really irritating, but you have to take into account what kind of a day he may have had. My boyfriend works crazy hours, so it's completely normal for me to start a conversation with him and then look over and see that he's passed out halfway through. He even does it while he's talking! It's actually kind of funny sometimes.
I've reached the point where he does it so often that I tell him to give me prior warning if he's that tired. I just ask him if he needs a nap when he gets home, and if we're having a conversation about something serious, I make sure that he's NOT lying down.

Yeah, he must've been tired and that's the perfect setting to fall asleep in. Total darkness, laying next to the one you love, being nice and warm and cozy, for sure that'll knock everyone out that's tired.
It certainly doesn't mean that he doesn't care about you. He did pick up on how you were feelin' before. so think nothing of it.

get over it. Don't take it personally. Just some food for thought...maybe he had a busy day and was exhuasted. Did you just have sex, men always fall asleep after. I'm sure he didn't mean to fall asleep. not to be mean here but you said you weren't taking long relaying the story but what's not long for you may be long to others (bad habit of mine, i admit it). I'd ask myself how many times have you b****ed about your family to him and it sounded like the same old thing again. We all do that, I know I do to my husband and he me. We have both fallen asleep when the other was talking, especially when its the same old thing again, or yet another version of it.

If it is really bothering you, you should talk to him about it. noone on here can really tell you why he fell asleep. Hey, his day might have been just as bad as yours and he could have been dead tired. I'm sure if he ask you what happened, he did not fall asleep on purpose or anything.

I guess he was just sleepy, or he didn't want to hear what you were saying so much as the sound of your voice. To be honest, I wouldn't get all worked up about it if I were you. You're dealing with a guy here, not another woman, so there's not necessarily a head game behind every little quirk or slip you see from him.

He cares about you. Good grief the man was tired, in a dark room, laying down, and in a comfortable position with someone he cares for....what did you think was going to happen?

Take it at face value - he's exhausted. He likely did really want to hear your story and reassure you, but laying down, with the lights off, just added to his exhaustion and sleep took over. Accept his apology and move on.

Why are you creating problems that arent there. So he fell asleep, it doesnt mean he doesnt love you or that he didnt want to listen to you. Did you ever think that he may have been tired?
