Ok, I used my PC before I went to work today and it was 100% fine. I shut it down and left. When I got home, I tried turning the computer on and nothing happened. The power doesn't even go on. How could something like this happen while I'm at work, if it wasn't even on, and it perfectly ok before?!! I have an emachines T2885, running Windows XP home edition and it's only 2-3 years old. It shouldn't be dead already! I called Best Buy and they said it might be the motherboard, but they charge $80 to look at it and I don't have that to spare right now just for them to LOOK at it. So is there anything I can do myself, without having to bring it to them? Can the cause of this possibly be something other than my motherboard? How do i find out? And if it IS the motherboard, how much can I expect to pay? Best Buy said $200-300, but for that much I would just buy a new PC....Please help, I have a lot of important things on there that I need!!
