Desktops - January 2007

I just built my own PC, and I put in a 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I've never been able to overclock before since I previously had Dell or Sony BIOS'. I'd like to get it to maybe 2GHz for each. Overclocking my memory would be nice too. I have a Gigabyte mobo.

My power supply is smoked and took my motherboard with it. So I ordered a new power supply and motherboard. But my new motherboard is a different brand, do you think I need to install windows from the begining? Or will it work smoothly? If not how can I save my files?
