I would suggest a local computer store first. At least check out the prices for a similar system. With Vista 2gb is the recommended, but I would suggest sticking with XP for awhile, until they iron out all the issues vista will/does have.
A local computer store, you can have it serviced there, buying anywhere online, wal-mart, etc there's a chance you have to ship it somewhere (you pay) and wait for it to be shipped back. If you are only buring cds and dvds (maybe internet, email, letters, aka simple stuff), around that cpu range will be cheaper. If a gamer, that will change it, mostly video card and needing a pci-e slot).

first of all - why on earth would you get a computer @ wal-mart ??? Why on earth would you get a Compcrap ??

Do you go to the grocery store to buy a used car ?

Look - you get what you pay for - if you pay $10 for a haircut, then you get a $10 haircut - youre not getting a "good deal" youre buying a piece of junk.

stay away from buying anything at wal-mart much less a computer...and dont get compaq - you dont need to know anything about the technology to know when something is a budget minded piece of sh*t.

see the people that work @ wal-mart ???? you want to be asking them for help /advice ??

Yeah I can see that working out real well -

Do you've any particular grievance about Bush or merely trite and familiar whining? perhaps we ought to continuously have merely wrung our hands after 9-11, i'm effective the terrorists might want to have taken that as a demonstration to go away us on my own. in spite of everything, on the grounds that Spain ran away with their tail between their legs, they have not attacked them. Oh wait, certain they did. similar with France, no count number how a lot convenience and canopy they provide, they are nonetheless objectives for those crazies. We honestly have ruined our surroundings less than Bush, correct? No, wait, i wager no longer. cleanser water and air, nonetheless no drilling in ANWR, he's even caved on global warming and agreed to a software parallel to Kyoto without surrendering our sovereignty to the UN. certain, he's a disaster as president. does no longer or not that's a lot extra effective to have our troops out of Iraq so those jihadists will be attacking colleges and determining to purchase branch shops right here contained in the US? surely extra effective no longer to satisfy them head on with properly-experienced squaddies, enable mall lease-a-police officials deter that probability. i like the Onion yet i do not see some thing prophetic about this. I seem to keep in mind listening to that Clinton deployed our troops more advantageous than once, even putting them less than UN commanders which i'm hoping we not in any respect do lower back. They swear an oath to our usa so enable's no longer placed them able the position that loyalty will be put in jeopardy.
