People say the chip dont exist but it does coz i have one. I need to know the frequency as my motherboard is picking it up as a 1800 which is offending me to the point of insanity.

There is no google answer to this question and the AMD forums dont know much better.

Id appreciate it, thanks.

I recently found a used PC on eBay. It has everything I need, but the seller states that he scrubbed the HD and has no OS installed. The computer has a Windows XP Pro COA attached to the case. Is there a way to legitimately get a recovery disk without buying a new OS?

they want you to buy them? And what do you recommend...my computer died on me and I'm using a horrid old one now...I really need a good PC quickly, for college, and gaming would be nice too. But programs I need for school are really an issue. So, would it be expensive to buy a Vista computer right away, or do you think the prices will go down? How long do you think that would take? I want to spend $400-$700, do you think they will be more expensive than that? And of course, when will Vista PCs be available?

My question is this, I have been haveing media player issues since I installed this new motherboard. My media Player will load but fails to stream anything, Thus went to different types of players and same thing. I have tried many many ideas on what to do and none have helped. I did reformat my PC after putting the new motherboard in and installed everything off the cd it came with. So I have read that upgrading my BIOS might help me but I am unsure of doing that. It seems alot of people said things can go wrong when updateing BIOS. So is this maybe what needs to be dont to fix this? Maybe take the PC in and have them deal with it? Any help please this has been killing me for weeks.

Something is wrong with my PC and I may need to buy a new one. If I do, I want to transfer everything to the new one..program files, settings, everything. This old PC won't start up, so I won't be able to use a cable or anything like that to transfer. Is there any other way? The only thing I can thing of is putting everything on an external hard drive I have after connecting the old hard drive to the new computer, and then putting it on the new PC. The only thing is that I have tons and tons of stuff and it would take ages, and also I don't know how to copy settings and things like that...only files and media. Is there a way to do it? And a way to move an installed program over to a new PC, or would I need to install every program all over again?

I posted a question yesterday, and have tried the suggestions but nothing worked. To summarize: I have a 2-3 year old e-machines that worked perfectly fine yesterday before i went to work. I shut it down, and when I got home, it would not start. When I push power, no fans whir, no lights come on, nothing. I opened up the pc. When it is plugged in, I see a green light on the motherboard. I tried switching RAM, and taking out the video card. From what I read it sounded like it was my PSU (power supply unit). I just bought one at Best Buy and just finished installing it. When I push the power button now....it still doesn't work!! I'm going crazy here, I need this PC. What else can it be? Some people suggested the motherboard is a possibility. How can that be? It's not that old, it was working fine until I got home from work, and nothing looks burned or whatever. Plus, when it's plugged in, I still see a green light on the motherboard. Someone please help! What else can I do?
