.
To change your desktop wallpaper:
1. RIGHT click a blank spot on your desktop
2. select PROPERTIES
3. In the new window Display Properties click tab Desktop
4. In frame Background:
select NONE or any other that you like
OR
5. Click BROWSE button and scroll to your files in
MyPictures and put on your own choice.
Hint: in MyPictures you should first crop your picture to be the same shape as your monitor screen = rectantular.
If you don't crop the pic properly it can distort.
6. Click OK

7. If this does not fix the problem
then you have some sort of hijacking of your desktop...
and you need to determine what to delete.

Look in Add/Remove Programs for SHOWTIME and delete it.

Another way to get rid of such a pest is to download
Hijack This and go into the finding and delete Showtime.
BE CAREFUL sometimes Hijack This will show in results
itmes you should keep. ONLY DELELTE problem programs or applications.

If you are using Windows, right-click on the desktop, select PROPERTIES from the menu displayed. This will open a small window with tabs along the top. Select the BACKGROUND tab if it's not already displayed. You will see a boxed region with the label WALLPAPER ... inside the boxed region is a list box ... scroll the list to the top, select NONE ... then hit the APPLY button in the bottom right corner of the window. Then click on the OK button.
