She went missing from her hotel in portugal when her parents were out dining. Today she turns four. I really feel for the little girl and her parents. Please please please keep praying for her safe return. There are weirdo's in this world that will do anything to children. Have the people that abducted her fed her at all? How are they treating her? I hope they are not treating her badly. They should be locked up for life.

PLEASE PRAY FOR HER SAFE RETURN. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Hello
I'm a child care provider in central California. I have twin, 3 year olds, who will be coming to my child care on Monday. The grandmother is raising them. When they were born, they tested positive for meth.
The grandmother tells me that they are very active. (Not a problem here) My concern is that I would like to learn as much as I can so I will be able to pick up on what is going on with them. I do not want to mistake something they do as bad behavior, you know what I mean?
I am getting these children because the grandmother took them out of the care provider they were at with suspisions of her giving the children something to make them sleep all day. The grandmother told me that these babies stay awake all night. They fall asleep around 4:30am.
Please, can you give me some suggestions or links to research or even a couple books I could read. I want to be the best I can be to help these children.
With much respect,
Lori

My 4 year old is potty trained so my soon to be 3 year sees her doing all day and a babysit another 3 year old that is potty trained. My oldest, we put panties on her and she only wet them once, she didn't like the feeling, but for the youngest, she don't care she will wet her panties and keep wearing them. I have to brib her with candy to put panties on, then when she has to go potty she screams for a diaper. I make her go to the bathroom but still wants to wear a diaper.

Please help me, what am I doing wrong.

It all started when she was 18 months old. When she first started doing it I really didn't think much of it. at least she was talking, well now she is just shy of being three. She reminds me of a cave girl or tarzan. I have tried things such as telling her" no, not that's gabby""that's mine". I really don't know how it started of why she still does it but it is getting old. I must sound horrible that something like this bugs me but honestly I need help knowing how to teach her how to phrase herself.

I am 25, and the uncle of a six year-old girl who has down syndrome. I am very concerned about her because while she inevitably exhibits some cognitive impairment, and just needs a little more time to learn and grasp things around the house, her father is becoming increasingly frustrated and impatient with her. He has taken to hitting/slapping her hard across the head and face, and pulling her hair when she doesn't "do as she's told". The result is he's angry and she cries terribly; I think his behavior is awful, and I try to comfort her but is there anything else I can do to protect her from him? If I confront him he might just keep her away from me, and she'll be stuck alone with him. Please, what can I do?

We have always used window fans to keep our home cool during summer months. Now that we have an active toddler we need a safe alternative. Especially for her room which gets hot at night.
Any ideas on how to keep air comming in and circulating while keeping her safe (from falling out the window, getting her fingers stuck in a fan or pulling a fan on herself) would be appreciated!!!

I told her that her attitude wasn't very good and that she needed to start being good and she said "well... the new baby will be good for you mom."

The second one... last night when we were going to bed she was trying to convince me to let her sleep with me and I told her no, she needed to sleep in her room in her big girl bed. She said "well the baby gets to sleep with you and I want to sleep with the baby" Like I said the baby is in my tummy still. What do you think?

Now that she can break free of the crib, our life is hell. She won't sleep and it's impossible to baby proof everything. Has anyone tried the crib tents? Do they work? It looks to me like she could still escape pretty easily. HELP!!!

Hi i was just wondering how people feel about beauty pageants. My daughter has been doing them since she was 6 months old. She is now 4. She loves them she gets to meet alot of kids and she has so much fun on stage. She is a prissy little thing when she is on stage but when she's not on stage she is a typical 4 year old. She likes to play and get all dirty. When she tells me that she dosent want to do them anymore then i will stop putting her in them.I would just like to hear what everyone thinks of them. She already has over 70 trophies and has many crowns. She is currently holding 2 titles right now.Thank You.

My 20month son started to develop a rash yesterday and it did clear up over the night but has now been replaced with swelling on his foreskin. Its extremely red and he won't let me put any pants on him. Has anyone had this problem before? I don't see how it could be from being unclean down there, I always wipe everywhere and now he's been wanting to use the potty so he isn't just sitting in diapers anymore. Any hints to help ease his pain or make the swelling die down. Thanks.

I have let my daughter gnaw on a toothbrush since she was about 9 months old and I have always tried to brush what I could, but when I put the toothbrush in her mouth she sticks out her tongue! I'm starting to get worried as I know her dental hygiene is probably not benefiting from the toothbrushing she is getting. HELP!! or do you know how bad this is for a 2 year old?

I set some apples I peeled and diced out for my son for snack time today after he got up from his nap. He only had a few bites and he was done. Then we went to the playground, did some shopping, came back, and had dinner. It's been about 4 hours and I have noticed that he just finished eating the remaining apples that were left out. Now I'm curious to know if he'll get an upset tummy or possibly food poisoning. Can anyone tell me if the apples were okay to eat? They weren't in any sunlight, and the room stays at about 76 degrees. Thanks!
