So my little duckie has great enthusiasm for hitting me, or the immediate family with his hands, body or toys. How do you stop this behavior? He does it in a playful manner. I've told him stern no's, smacked his hand, ignored him but to no avail. I think he's picking this habit up in daycare. Is this a phase that will pass?

My 3 year old daughter swallowe an earring on Tuesday i took to ER and they did x-ray and it is in her stomach they told me to check her stool. I did that yesterday and still no earring. She hasn't gone today. I wonder how long it would take to come out. She is doing well but she hasn't been eating much. Just drinking lots of milk and juice.

I have a set of twins and certain foods make them have reactions that in turn cause the day care to call me at work to come and pick the kids up... not to mention some of the foods are inappropriate for 18 month old kids. They are saying I have to bring in 3 weeks of menu items for them to be approved by a registered nurse then I have to bring in a thermomitor to make sure the food is the appropriate temp. at arrival. I have always brought in food that is in prepackaged containers and does not need to be specially stored! I also have to bring in the food that I have "planned out" in advance by three weeks! They also gave me two days to get it into them or the kids will be fed whatever! I wrote them a letter once that said that I was unhappy with the kids being dirty all the time and being in the wrong room and now feel that they are in turn retaliating against me because of it. Any suggestions or hints on this irratating "mole hill" issue.

Ok, I have a 13 month old, who is mixed (russian/jamaican) he is like, a whitish-gold colour right now and I know that if I take him outside a lot, he'll get darker. I heard from some of my white friends that sunscreen blocks the sun off the skin so they can't tan with sunscreen on.. Is that true??
If it is true, what cn I do to protect my son from the sun and give him a good tan..
(I in NO way thinking of taking my son to a tanning salon or anything..) maybe using natural glow lotion or tanning lotion?? Is that safe??
I need help!!! Thanks for your time, guys!

Hi I was wondering if anyone had some potty training tips for me. My little girl is almost 2 yrs old. Well when she was around 18 months I started to show her the potty and let her sit on it, she was terrified. Well now she is showing interest but she just wont use it. She will pee in the tub and on the floor, but not the potty. She tells me when she needs to go, and we go, but she just wont pee in the darn thing.
Please help, and all your advise is greatly appreciated!!

I have always gotten these for my girl at Target (Circo brand, $9.99 for either 2 or 3 pair). But they only carry them during the fall and winter. Well my girl still spins circles in her bed, so a blanket is not an option. It is too cool in our house for her to sleep in the lightweight cotton ones. She is outgrowing the fleece pjs she has now and I need some in size 18mos or bigger. Where can I find them at a decent price? $20 bucks for one pair is TOO much for baby pjs!

I get my 5- year old nephew 4 days out of the month, and as an aunt I take him everywhere parks, mall, shopping, and watch him most of that time, and cook and make meals. Above all I love him dearly.
If my neph., does something wrong I will talk to him about it and try to make him correct it immediately, however, if he runs into the street or something, or doesn't want to listen after asked 2-3 times pleasantly I will just hit him on the but softly.

WHAT HE DOES in return: He'll hit me, bite his teeth into my arm, and try to rip my sleeve off, like a rotweiller that won't let go. Overall he's a good kid, but If I hit him on the bottom once, he'll come after me so bad, that once and old woman who saw this said: "looks like the child is abusing you." Tell me is this common? What can I do? Help?

I have a 5 almost 6 month old who's loved doodlebops since she was 2-3 months old it just catches her attention even though she doesn't quite understand the whole moral of the story thing but, anyways my concern is how come when I look in advance on their concerts they only stay up north of the US. We live in Texas and I know there's nothing eye catching here but, still there are fans down here who would love to go see them in concert...I think the closest I have seen them is in Tenn. but I'm sorry I am not driving to Tenn. just to go see the doodlebops. Anyone else have this issue too??

My brother is 3 and he has an imaginary friend named "Charmin". I think he got the name of the toilet paper comercial. He goes to preschool and is very social and active. Here are the things he gets anry about when charmin's around:

When/Where What he says about it
Dinnertime "Hey! Charmin's sitting there!
Playtime "Hey! Charmin's playing with that!"
Outside "Hey! Charmin's swinging on that swing!"
Nap/rest time "Hey! Charmin's laying there!"

And when he's bored he talkes to him like Charmin's really there.

I ask him this alot: "Hey David, is Charmin your best buddy" he will say yup. "Hey Davey, can I see charmin?" Nope he will say. He says only he can. Then he paused. Charmin is a ghost.

What do I do!!!???

I keep the door locked, and I use a child safety lock on the handle but she has figured out how to unlock it. I can't install anymore locks on it because it is a metal door and my lease requires me to make NO changes to the apartment.
She loves running outside, but I usually catch her by the time she reaches the bottom of the stairs. My neighbor found her after she was out for about 3 minutes and called CPS on me. Well, last night she did it again. My daughter got out about 3 minutes while I was in the bathroom and the neighbor caught her again. Good thing I know she's safe, but now I'm terrified that CPS might try to take her away from me.
Today I put a large heavy trunk in front of the door so she cant get out, but is there any other suggestions?

My almost 2 year old son has fractured his lower leg and has a cast on it for 4 weeks. The radiologist missed the fracture the first time and 4 days later we went back and he had to get the cast. My question is - how long will it take for him to want to walk on it again? Will he be able to walk on it with the cast and when should I see him want to do this. Also he seems a lot more cranky and tired than usual. Is this normal? Help! I feel so bad for the poor little guy! He also seems not as interested in eating. He just got the cast on Mon am.

My daughter is 3 and she shows sighs of OCD such as...if her straps on her high chair are laying over the arms she wil put them in the seat and then lay them on the arms herself before getting in, if I shut a door she will scream until I open it and let her shut it, the other day I saw her stepping on stones and if she lost her balance she would get frustrated go back to the first stone and start over. I used to have OCD as a child but not a toddler....is it caused by anxiety or is it hereditary or what?

What can I do to potty train him? Any suggestions would be most helpful. My husband works 12-8, so he is unable to help.

This will be our first time going to this place and my daughter requested to go there, I hear their food sucks and they are expensive, but only heard that from one person. If someone who has been there recently can tell me what the prices are for the food. I know the play area is free(I hope)...
