I guess I'm the most conservative dad here. I don't let my 7-year-old twins watch anything that's not G or PG, period. They don't even ask anymore, even though they really, really want to see the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, and we own the first two on DVD. There's a reason the films are PG-13, and there are so many things they won't be able to do until they're a certain age that they may as well get used to it now. Age appropriate movies still work for them, and they've got the rest of their lives to see racier themed movies.

My honest opinon is no. I am a big sticker to the rating of movies, and I feel that the film is not a good for that age. But if your child is very focused on the film then wait for the DVD release. Your family can watch together in the privatacy of your home and have a dicussion about the movie as it is going on without distractions that usually arise in the theatre.

Sure bring the kid to the movies, and when he gets scared and starts bawling and screaming and manages to ruin all the other cinema patrons entertainment you will be happy!!
A movie-house is no place for a 3 year old kid, most people go there to watch a movie and get away from home for some entertainment.

I think you should let him. I have a set of twins (one girl and one boy)that will be 4 in a few months and then a toddler that will be 2 in October. Anyhow, the twins have seen both spiderman 1 and 2 and they loved them.
Thats your choice. Have a great day.

That black Spiderman is pretty scarey, I think it would be a little scarey for a small child...Not to mention when the black stuff invades the other guy, he goes crazey and hurts everyone, might be a touch confusing. I would stick with Bob The Builder or Diego at that age, ( my opinion)..

I have an adult freind who went and saw it opening night and she said that the villian is scary and wouldn't recommend me taking my 5 year old son to see it. If your son can handle things jumping out then I'd say yeah he could go other wise I would wait till it's on DVD and let him see it then.

You can take him, but he may be frightened by Venom. The makers of Spiderman 3 made him look pretty scary.

No, there is too much violence. He might have nightmares about the black spiderman and his teeth. I would not advise it. I am sure you will make the right choice. I have a 3 yr old and I would not take him.

Okay - firstly, my answer DOES NOT PERTAIN to the idea that it might be innapropriate, I have no doubt that it is. BUT, he is three - there is NO WAY he's going to be awake or interested the whole time! unless you have a child who can, he's never going to sit through it. Let up on that one, let him think he got what he wanted and save your strength and "nos" for important stuff.
GOod luck!
